This my fist time on here. my model no. is next7p12 8g serial no YFG0613159934
I was having some boot issues plus others with my tablet so I followed some suggestions from here used these zip files SMT_Next7P12-8G_Mod_Recovery (1)-SMT_Next7P12-8G_Mod_Recovery-SMT_Next7P12-8G_Stock_Rom-signed and it resolved all my problems except one thing now I don't have WiFi how I fix this issue. WiFi setup scans and add network and a list is greyed out except for next. In settings wireless and network wifi is on the off and wont turn on.

sounds like the rom u flashed had the wrong wifi driver did u back up ur old rom firsf? i tbink ur tablet hax two roms that will work but there is two diferent wifi drivers if u backed up ur rom first i recomend restore or cantact shaun

Nextbook sold this model with two different WiFi chips in them... some of them had one chip and some of them had the other chip.

Releasing custom ROMs for both of these WiFi versions has been on my todo list for awhile now. I finally started working on them a few days ago. Will be working on them again tonight.

I'm still looking and waiting for shaunmt to put the new rom versions the only thing was how to root it using motochopper worked like charm.

i found a rom that fixed the wifi issue and the auto screen rotation. differences i have found are the boot screen with the finger and sunflower is no longer there, replaced with the green android with like a starburst design behind it. i don't mind it if it gets it all working again. here is the link if you are interested. i used the modified recovery 3e file unzipped to my sd card and the non extracted ygf07 rom zipfile in the root directory. its up and running since last night with no problems. here are the forum links.

I second this. Madscientist did an amazing job at saving this tablet. Anyone without working WiFi needs to try it. My tablet was a different serial number (YFG09 instead of YFG07 as stated) and it still did the trick to get it working again.

Give it a shot. You've got nothing more to lose at this point. Thanks again madscientist.
