nextbook 7 w/android 4.0 @ biglots...$99.00???

i purchased a polaroid 701i a couple weeks ago,my question is should i take the polaroid back and get the nextbook the only benifit of getting nextbook is that it has a camera and polaroid doesnt,also i dont think the nextbook has tv out,and also i think that the next isnt factory rooted any opionsions on this should i keep polaroid or go in get the next bookthanks again for any help on this dilema i have!!! : )

Is this nextbook 7 the same hardware as the older nextbook with Gingerbread?

If so someone needs to dump the ROM from this so I can do a rooted ROM.

FYI, I doubt the tablet is rooted out of the box. They rarely are.

the only thing is it says it is resistive touch screen,what should i do,should i swap them out,and if i do how do i go about dumping rom for you,i would really lije to have a rooted rom so what ever i can do to help i will,i tryed the display model and even though it was resistive screen it still responded faily well let me know what u think i should do m,they had about 8 units thanks

I cant help you with the swap out or not. Thats up to you. I have never touched a polaroid or nextbook tablet so I do not know which is better. You have to decide that on your own sorry....

Hello!

They won't be released until the 23rd in my area, but I was able to get my hot little hands on the NextBook today. Keep in mind that the ICS 'Roid (701i) does not support TV out, either, even though a TV out jack is there.

So far, I'm really impressed with the NextBook. One important difference right off the bat is that there's an option in settings where WiFi remains awake during sleep mode, negating the need to add software to do that for you.

I'll have a full comparison between it and the 'Roid available here in the next day or so. I have a brother in the hospital to attend to in the meantime...

The one I picked up DOES have a resistive screen (which I prefer). At least you can calibrate it if it goes out of whack, and no special styli are needed.

If I can figure out how to get my PC to talk to it via ADB, I'll be happy to provide you a ROM dump, Bob! My PC keeps thinking it's just another 'Roid...
