I'm currently testing four other firmwares.....
Did you try your stick before flashing with a custom rom? Did the Wifi work then? I didn't test it before I reflashed - I am thinking perhaps there was never any drivers made for the mediatek because it was some kind of an in-between revision, before they shifted from Realtek to AP6210.

And it worked very well. It had the r-box firmware with 4 penguins at the beginnig and then a green nature wallpaper. Wi-fi, wi-fi direct and bt worked perfectly. After flash no way.

God... This is the reply I received from the supplier (I tested stock firmwares he sent me, which clearly was made for the AP6210). I told him it didn't work and that I needed the stock firmware for the version with Mediatek WiFi chip...:
"hi,dear sir,
good day!
that's such a bad news.
and sorry for this inconvenience.
i am afraid you need send back the device, we have to send it to our engineer to detect its problem."

Her name is Sara Ann (But I think it's an alias).
However, I decided to skip the suppliers since they're good at selling but very bad at technical support. I've managed to track down the manufacturer and their mail. I've sent them an e-mail, both in English and google-translated Chinese. I think we will have the stock rom soon.

There is source code for the MT59315A (wifi) & MT6622 (BT) in the KitKat kernel sources. I'm expecting delivery of a MK809III on friday. If it has the Mediatek chip I'll have a test bed to build a KitKat Kernel.
I'll let you know what I receive.Measy U4B (=Tronsmart T428) used by my kids!

thank you everybody for your efforts on it
finally I found someone who's looking for the solution about this problem, I have the same problem, and I confirm that my wifi and bt were working very very well before flashing the first time...
the only source I found (but not working) is the following: http://www.ugoos.tv/ in which you can see two different versions of mk809III one with ap6210 and another with RTK chip... maybe REALTEK but it didn't work with my device... flickering screen and wifi/bt not turning on.
I'm following you and trying to search around as well to find some information.
P.S. It seems I have exactly the same device than the picture, with the same signature on the sticker
