if i install your SMT-Next8HD8G-NXM8000ND_WM-102813 will it keep put cwm on or keep the old recovery

All of my ROMs install a pure stock recovery internally.

I won't support installing CWM internally at this time. I don't think there are any good reasons to when we can boot it from external SD while keeping stock recovery internally, and there some common amlogic problems that seem to be solved most easily by using the stock recovery.

how do you boot it from sd i tried to unzip it and put it onto the sd card but just boots the stock recovery so the only way i got it to work was with the resouce sd

Download CWM for your tablet from here: CWM-Recovery-with-UBIFS-Support-For-Amlogic-Nextbook-Tablets

• Unzip the .zip file.
• Remove the uImage_recovery file.
• Place the uImage_recovery file on your external SD Card.
• With tablet turned off and external SD Card installed, hold volume- and power.
• The Amlogic chip in your tablet will automatically detect the uImage_recovery on your external SD card and use it instead of your internal uImage_recovery.

ya i have tried that several times but only boots stock recovery the only way i have got it to work is the resource sd and then when i installed your rom it puts cwm on for the recovery not sure why


ok you have to unzip it to a file or desktop first then put it on the sd i was just unzipping it to the sd card and it wouldn't boot now booted right into the cwm recovery

First thing I would try is to reflash in the correct order. I have had some bad flashs before plus it seems my tablet doesn't seem to like some micro sd cards, two cards won't work with custom roms. Also one other thing I do is delete apps data in the Android/data directory on the internal sd-card before flashing for a cleaner install.

The CT based roms don't over write the bootloader, every thing else is replaced.

the pa Rom works great so far rotation strange bug I like it

None of the ports touch stock internal recovery or bootloader. I always flash ports at least three times before uploading. If you want to boot to stock internal recovery delete CWM from the external sd-card or using CWM go to advanced and select reboot recovery. The ports only flash two things, boot.img and system. If you are using an app that swaps internal and external mounts or apps to external sd-card be sure and uninstall them first.

To boot stock recovery you hokd volume + instead, or you can use the modified stock recovery to boot the ul_image from your sdcard.

Has anyone managed to get any of these roms working on the NXM8000NBD_WMN board?

I get as far as the Nnlynx screen booting and then hangs.

I've tried different versions of the roms and see the same thing.

Any suggestions as to what needs modifying? I am up to date on flashing and recoveries.

yea i can boot up all of them no problems except not all of them have every thing working right the cm 10 and 11 work the best so far shaun is working on his own build of cm 10 not sure when he get it done cause he doing it from source im on the pa one now make sure u do system restore and wipe media to before u do any of ghese ports or they will do what u have gling on now good luck keep us posted if j need help

They should not work with NXM8000NBD_WMN using the compatibility zips provided for the NXM8000ND_WM, although it should be possible to create a compatibility zip for the NXM8000NBD_WMN.

A compatibility zip for the NXM8000NBD_WMN would require a boot image (with the init script modified for a Cyanogen based ROM), recovery image, graphic drivers, EGL libraries, sensor libraries and wifi drivers from the NXM8000NBD_WMN (and possibly more). Still not sure everything would work, but that should be a good start.
