NEW - Tronsmart A928 KitKat 4.4.2 Finless 2.0 ROM

Hello,

I have the a928 with this rom and im not bery happy with it. The airmousse keeps lagging and lagging..... Does this happens with everyone else?

And other thing, when i connect the audio jack cable to my stereo system no sound comes from the stereo system, is it a bug?

How to minimize the system bar when usinh xbmc?

If you're using this ROM there is not audio out, it's a very early kitkat ROM.
My mouse doesn't lag but the buttons seem to get stuck occasionally repeating over and over again until I press another button. Most frequently with back button.

If you're using 12.x Frodo you have to hide the SystemUI before you open XBMC. You can also use full!screen to replace the SystemUI.

If you run one of the latest 13.0 Gotham betas or nightly builds then it's automatic. This ROM and hardware seems to do well with Gotham in my experience.

Ehhh.... Amlogic and manufacturers have released the bare minimum required to comply with the GPL, granted it was quickly released but still not much. The problem with Rockchip is it took them forever to release what they legally needed to release.

My communication with amlogic RE: kernels is that they are not ready to publish new source yet. That's all they'll say. Hey at least it's a response!

We of course have to take it with a grain of salt but a response is certainly better then what rockship does.
You think they figure out its better to do so and have people make roms for you then just doing it yourself.

Tried the rom with d33 6210 kernel and it behaves beautifully.

Video playback works great.

Cosmetic, missing or wanted parts?

Shutdown button and hide toolbar button.
Screen scale does kick in but seems a little delayed.
Of course download folder broken.

For first run through both finless and neomode roms are very stable and impressive.
The next results with the polish and bling should be amazing.

Which one inside the zip file are you using? There is kernel and kernel_t ??

Use the new 4.0 for tv sticks its one for all models (3 actually but one for each chipset).
They go from 312mhz-1.6ghz with smooth video playback.

i tried it on my mk908v5 and it doesnt boot at all (i didnt firstly wiped as specified in the README, tho).

to be straight, am i allowed to dream to upgrade from jb to kitkat my mk908 or not? :-)

I used this rom on a mk802IV so no its not for tronsmart hardware only.
The trick is using the rom with a kernel that supports your chipset and in my case it was 4.0 tv stick from here.

The trick is using the rom with a kernel that supports your chipset and in my case it was 4.0 tv stick from here.

im trying all the kernel but no boot...
ive got a general stick mk908v5 (with bee drawn on the stick), and im trying to flash it with the stock 2.0 that comes in the op.
ive opened it and the wireless chip is the AP6210, so im trying to flash all ap6210 kernels, but no luck...

u mean i should try and flash with TVBOX kind of kernels (with lcd to 3.3volts)?

After reading for weeks on the forum I finally found the time to flash my MK908ii ,T processor, with this Finless ROM. Since then it works very close to perfection! It can display 720p kernels only, as 1080p gives me artifactes (picture errors). But when set to 720p in Android it works flawless. Crucial inprovement is that it now also plays HD movies on XBMC 13 without external player! I think that this ROM is the first ROM to actualy make this work.

For all the Dutch readers there is another very nice improvement and that is that the NPO (uitzendinggemist van NL1,2,3) now also works wihout freezing after a few minutes.

Please note that you must (!) use an AP6210 spefic Kernel. Using the kernel provided with this ROM will not work as it is for a different Wifi chip (the rest seems to work).
I encourage everyone to try this amazing ROM on your MK908ii, it's worth the effort Thanks Finless, and others, for all your work

Same here, working great! This ROM with d33's kernel, cpu:1700, gpu:800, ddr:800 and my mk908ii (T-model) runs flawlessly. Almost runs real racing 3.

Tried 1800mhz but not stable.

Just two things still keeps me using raspberry pi as a xbmc-player:

1. 1080p/24 mode for movies, changes to this on the fly
2. Multichannel audio passthrough
