Just flashed the new MK908-II - Finless 1.6 ROM thank you Bob with the stock 1080p kernel so far so good no problems in video playback smooth, wifi excellent everything seems fine so far will report any findings once again thank you Bob.

The 2GB and 4GB parameters files had issues. I guess thats is what is fixed.. Not sure about the VPN issue. I am using HideNinja VPN and it works just fine. Did you try installing the TUN.ko installer app from the play store ? It installs the tun modules required for VPN apps. Give it a try if you haven't.

No idea, if you download the Tun.ko installer from the play store, it says the device is supported and installs correctly. As soon as run run any VPN app it reboots.

I've had my MK908ii for less than a week and it's been a massive learning curve from not knowing that these boxes even exist 2 weeks ago, to buying one and finding out they don't work properly out of the box and you have to do days of research and faffing about to get it working properly!

I tried numerous combinations of XBMC with Finless 1.5a ROM and on all of them the video would stop and the top would of the picture would turn into green squares when streaming online sources 10 - 20 mins into watching it, but the audio would continue.

I saw this one yesterday (Finless 1.6) flashed it, and I have finally watched 2 films with no problems, and the video is smooth with the 1080p kernel and boot. The only problem I am having is I've tried 3 different VPN apps in the Play store and when they initialise all of them crash and cause the stick to reboot. Is there any fix for this as I can't use Hulu, Primewire, and others as Virgin media block nearly everything that is good about the internet!

I spoke too soon :-( Just been watching a film and the picture froze again with the last couple of frames in an endless loop with the audio continuing. I have given up on this wretched thing now, I think it's time for the bin!

Tell me if enyone know why the video freeze after some time if i watch 720 p or 1080 over wifi from my laptop to the tronsmat MK908 II using es file explorer ? stream seems to be good no frame skiping but after some time vdeo just freeze and then go in slow mo.

Try archos video player, with its video codecs installed, i can watch 1080p over wifi without any problems.

well here again with some findings in 1080p stock kernel i don't know if it's just me but the video playback with archos,mxplayer is very laggy when i move the mouse or when i search within the movie for me, with the stock video player it's very smooth probaply will go and flash again the mk908ii with the 720p

Did you ever figure out the VPN? I just did the flash and sure enough the VPN crashes. Worked fine in 1.5a.

I have the same problem, VPN causes system to reboot was working in 1.5

Now video works fine using Airstream instead of EsFileExplorer it was not from video player i,am still using MX playes ,whith EsFileExplorer the video stopped after a while using all players but with Airstream everything is smooth and fine playing 5 gigs video why is that?Thanks anyway shadowhay.

I would like to know if it is possible to connect external bluetooth dongle on "USB A male to female extension cable" for improving bluetooth signal on MK908ii with this ROM or Finless 1.5a?
Because I am 8 or 10 meters away from my TV, and I have bluetooth gamepad, so if anyone could help, I will be grateful.

Since I've used Finless 1.4 very happily for over 3 months now, is there anything I would gain with an "upgrade"? I don't use bluetooth, either wifi (I'm on 100Mbs download/ 10 up wire, very nice ).
