DD 5.1 works HDMI software decoding.

TrueHD does pcm 2ch
DD+ does pcm 2ch.

Just so I'm clear on this issue, this is only affecting the DD / DTS passthrough, therefore for my first box I'm only interested in Stereo as it's for a spare TV initially this will be no problem.

I only need to be concerned about this if I get on with Android and deploy boxes in other rooms with appropriate receivers / soundbars for DD / DTS.

Yes 5.1 pass through works with Dolby 5.1. Mini__me I would say yes but also wait a few more weeks before buying to see what hits software/ROM wise.

Also audio is almost always delayed by 0.5 seconds in xbmc.

Too late, I ordered last week awaiting delivery

It's only a tester box, to see if it will do what I need it too as it's a nice little inexpensive form factor

DTS 5.1 works. I'll update this post with DTS-HD 7.1 results.

DTS-HD works but only 5.1 audio (I have 7.1 set in audio settings.)



Edit: I have lost stereo sound, looks like only passthrough is working. Restarted XBMC no luck (forgot to force close it though, oops.) Rebooting box. Fixed.

Weird. It looks like any DTS (not dolby 5.1, and TrueHD isn't working) passthrough kills stereo audio support until xbmc has been force closed. I'll have to poke around the xbmc log after I sleep a bit.

Hi,

I'm very interested by this product.. but can you confirm theses issues are still not solved ?

1. S802 chipset instead of S802-H for some boxes
2. Payed Apps don't work
3. Ethernet port issues
4. A/V asynch with XBMC

It appears to be s802 for my unit. Ethernet works for me no problem. Audio sync is perfect after adjusting all videos to -0.5 audio offset. Paid apps don't work but geekbuying says new firmware this week.
