CS968 MTK KITKAT ROM 4.4 - Finally

Hello, anyone tried out Google Play Movies on any of the ROMs? When i try to play some movie through it, i get license error. Other devices play it fine..
Anybody ?
i have MTK hw HTC-T018-V4 Dated:20131216 .here is the image: http://imgur.com/4EYpX8B
Please suggest a ROM on which Google Play Movies can play movies fine if its working for someone. Thanks so much...

It seems to be same h/w as it talks of two variants MTK and the other AP6210.
And i contacted the support and they said its android 4.4.4 As far as i know uptill now ROMs available were upto 4.4.2 only am i right?
If anyone has answers to above pls suggest.. Thanks.

I tried the above ROM, It works on MTK h/w, but android version is still 4.4.2.
But i am also facing the audio passthrough issue on this ROM. My AV reciever does not get DTS or DD audio when i select any of the other options in the sound manager on this ROM.

You need a A-Type/A-type usb cable(male/male...) the OTG port if i remember correctly seeing the device from front is the one on the left side on the back(next to the sdcard slot)

The problem is, that there is no micro usb port on the board!?

Hello,

You need a Micro USB Cable for USB Debugging and the Proper Drivers on your PC.
Then you can use the ADB Debugging.

Hi! What kind of USB OTG adapter or cable is required for USB debugging? Currently I'm using a board like this for development purpose (client send me the hardware). And moreover, is a USB driver for Windows or Mac required?

Works like a charm...
But I use Leolas kernel pack for AP6210 chipset.
No wifi.(Use ethernet). No bluetooth(Radio mouse).

My D33 kernel above can be found in D33 kernels here. Exact kernel to be chosen will depend on your chipset model/version and SD/HD will depend on your requirements.

I have the same CS968 model as yours "HTC_T018 v4 20131216 with MTK" but still running stock rooted 4.2.2 "8188_GT-19300_htc_t018_public_Mtk_20140127_update.img" ROM.

My current version is as follows:
CS968MTK_singleant_root_CSQ_4.4.2_20140904 (can be found in Pincer threads for CS968)
D33 Kernel - kernel_KK_v4.2.5_TVBOX_MT5931_HD from kernel_KK_v4.2.5_MT5931.zip

Kitkat stock ROM has been stable for me. And also the D33 KK 1080p kernel is stable enough with everything working. It does get a bit warm. I do not play games, so it does not get hot.

I have the same CS968 model as yours "HTC_T018 v4 20131216 with MTK" but still running stock rooted 4.2.2 "8188_GT-19300_htc_t018_public_Mtk_20140127_update.img" ROM. It could not handle 1080p (stuttering badly). I found that 4.4 kitkat ROMs did not work reliably and would freeze at the starting logo after a few use and required re-flashing which was a pain so I reverted back to 4.2.2 and most of the issues went away apart from the random reboots.

I also have a CYX-CS918 V2_1 box also running 4.2.2 ROM and have not tried kitkat ROMs due to various ROM issues with the CS968 box. Could someone suggests a reliable basic kitkat ROM for this model
