I've been trying 4 hourse now and it keeps on loosing connection after a few megabytes. I would realy appreciate it if somebody can upload this to a faster site... anyone??

That is impossible to say at this time. It might boot but some things might not work.

I want to delete the Netflix, mxplayer, and xbmc apks from this directory (/system/usr) but its telling its read only . When I try to change permissions for the folder using ES file explorer it tells me operation failed. I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Filesystem has to be remounted as r/w, simpliest way is to use Root Explorer which will prompt to do so when you'll try to delete files.

problems install Rom

Hi all

I'm having trouble installing this Rom, when it goes into recovery it can't seem to mount the sd card, n gives an error something like file or folder cannot be found

My device is rooted n I'm following the institutions to the tee.

Any help will be much appreciated

Once rooted, titanium backup works wonders to uninstall, freez or backup apps. It can even convert system apps to user apps or user apps to system apps. It is one of my most valued apps!

Goto EXT, then udisk, if my memory serves me right.

Unable to install from zip files

I have a tronsmart s89 standard
updated to 101 with usb burning tool

i am unable to install this or any other zip files from finless (101 stock, root, 5ghz patch)

these are the steps i have taken
> formatted an sd card into fat32 and loaded the zip file
> put the sd card into the vega s89
> went to the update tool, selected the zip file and pressed update.
> confirmed the update
> it goes into recovery mode. i ask it to look in ext
> it throws an error saying unable to mount.

Please advise.

Update:
I tried a few SD cards with little success before writing this post. Tried again with a USB pen drive instead ... And it worked. Pen drive was formatted to fat32.

not sure is this would help with you.

my vega elite, would not see the microsd.
also would not see the usb burning tool.

so, i bought an usb microsd adapter. plugged it into the usb port.
a standard usb stick may also work as well.

the update tool app was able to see that device.
was able to update firmware rom that are in zip format.

so far no problems.

I would suggest to try other port like in 2 post back...
Your port could be faulty. Also try to format? Must be fat32. Use some liw level formatter like hp format on pc.

If you can see the sd card in Android then at least the port is not faulty and its probably just a formatting issue.
