      Thanks for response.
For few days I'm trying to find correct version to my device and I'm confussed. All I want is 1080p, Wifi and Android 4.4. Can somebody help me please?
Perhaps K-R42 - wasser firmware - Kikat Android 4.4.2 - would be a good choice?

          Hey michalw2,
I am in the same boat as you are.

Is there anyone that can help find a good firmware to this model?

I sent an email to ENY, they answered me with this information:

          here is the firmware:
          http://pan.baidu.com/s/1o6HPUUA
when you download the file from it, pls click the upper right box writing 349.7M, and then the right box.
          here is the tool:
          http://yun.baidu.com/share/link?uk=3995530201&shareid=843456240
when you download the file from it, pls click the upper right box writing 1.05M, and then the green box.
          here is the guide:
          http://yun.baidu.com/share/link?uk=3995530201&shareid=977820737
in the guide, we take mk908 as an example, which is same as mk908, just the recover button of cs918 is on the bottom of the box.

Maybe there is someone who can do something with that information, and make a custom firmware out of it?

          THANKS

There must be a sub-dir with log-files... maybe you can find and attach it... maybe there are more infos at it...
                - I don't know about blanks at the filename at the rkbatch tool (I know other tools which don't like it)
                - lewy's is JB (4.2)? Which version was at the device? KK or JB? Becuase KK to JB could be a problem because of the bootloder-version.

                EDIT:
BTW have you ever checked which pcb your box use and if it is compatible with this rom???

Im pretty sure that is issue I had, mean downgrading from stock KK to lewy's JB.
I had this download firmware fail in my first try of flashing lewy's rom.
                  Check it zoboloff

                          XT-Q7V-V10 (2014-08-15)

                          Hey guys,

I've read all the comments in this thread, and one thing I'm sure about is that my newer Q7 (XT-Q7V-V10 (2014-08-15) to be exact), which comes with 4.4.2 as stock, has no ROM options yet.

lewy20041's ROM is based on JB, and downgrading can be risky and complicated.

So is there anyone who can help me out? There are three things I would like from my Q7:
                          - real 1080p@60Hz output
                          - SPDIF or HDMI passthrough for DD / DTS / AC3 audio
                          - (micro)lag-free fullHD movie playback

                          And of course stability.

I've already contacted lewy20041, sent a mail to ENY and to the **** seller of my box, no replies yet.

Oh, and here are some pics of my Q7 "interiour": click

WiFi module: RTL8188EIV (seems like the same as 8188EUS, same drivers, but less power consumption)
                          BT module: MT6622N
                          HDMI module: IT66121FN

I hope there is a painless way to update FW, and have these main features what they already advertise for the box.

                          Any help would be appreciated!

I have the exactly same box as you, and looking for the same features as yourself. Out of curiosity, have you managed to get DTS output on SPDIF working? When I play DTS I get static noise. Have only tried with XBMC.

Yes, with the pre-installed XBMC, go to System / Settings / Audio output, and tick enable passthrough, transcoding, DTS and AC3 - depends on what your decoder capable of.

In Android settings, go to Settings / Sound / Output, and select SPDIF or SPDIF passthrough. For me, all these twonworks, no difference.

SPMC and MX Player did not work though with 5.1 audio...

Other than these, all is default.

                              Good luck!

Thanks, but I already did set all of the above settings .. normal sounds pass through fine, but DTS passthrough is just a static noise. I have tried all the different SPDIF options in the android settings. DTS passthrough works fine with my popcorn hour media player, but not with the Android TV box unfortunately.

My DTS decoder is Logitech Z-5500.
