In terminal you need to be su.
type su and enter
you should get a # sign.
Then do cat /proc/kmesg.

I'm a complete n00b when it comes to android so i'm not sure what i'm talking about but
googling on internet i found that ICS no longer uses a bcm4329.ko driver. Instead they use a bcmdhd.ko driver for that chipset. Perhaps that could solve the problem ?

That driver you speak of IS the 4329. If you google it youll see it points to fw_bcn4329.bin in the firmware directory.
wlan.ko is the wrapper it uses.
Knowledge is power. There is nothing wrong with being a newbie. That is how one learns.

It's still a work in progress. Kuasar has given me some files to test, but one of the files, I can't write it to my tablet. I've been travelling last week, and again this week, so haven't had so much free time to work on it either.

Installing stock firmware ...

Hi Alexligft,

The firmware update is done using a USB cable from the tablet to your PC, and uses the RK29update.exe, which will be included in in your firmware download. If you want a stock firmware, I would suggest the 0811 stock, located in the thread for the 0811 custom rom.

There is a possibility that your wifi does not work after the update. I think this rom (0811) will work for you, including the wifi. If I am wrong, you may have to try again with a different stock rom.

Anyways, once you have downloaded a rom, and unzipped it in your PC, start the RK29update program. Connect the USB cable to the PC and tablet, and plug the power adapter into the tablet as well. Now press & hold the reset button for about 3 seconds. When you release the button, your PC should detect new hardware found. Don't let Windows try to find the driver. Instead, choose search in a specific location, and select the drivers folder which is also in the unzipped files you've downloaded, then select 64 or 32 bit, then Win7, xp or whatever. Once the driver is correctly installed, then the RK29update program should say that it found your device, and now you can run the update. Sometimes it is necessary to erase the IDB before you run the update. These specifics can be found in a read me file in the downloaded rom.

Which version do you mean? The one in the first post? Has that one been updated? I am also from holland.

Thanks!!! Just used your info to dump my rom (just to be sure...) and then installed the NextBook 7P1N rom on my TM701. WiFi is working, hadn't had much time to look at the rest yet...
