Finless 1.5 ROM ported to the EM8 BETA-1

So far works perfect. Which xbmc version is working the best? Can it work the beta, or does it need the gotham stable release.

I turned the box upside Down Speed gone up to 26mbps LOL there is something wrong with that particular box Wifi Antenna ,Probably bad soldering, cutting negative tab may help...

Hoi Bob,
The finless-rom is running great and 1280-720 too! I installed oman XBMC and runs 720 also.

Google play took some time, but nevertheless, it's working fine.

Thanks for the cpu-fix and back to stock. The cpu-fix-800 gave me an signature error updating from update-apk, but did install fine from within the bootmenu.

My Trust keyboard works good (although not my shutdown button), and the remote works ok too.

Is there a way to "fix" the external sdcard1 the way android kitkat "mounts" it? So i can mount a ext3 formatted sdcard (now only fat/ntfs) and move apps to?

"My Nexus 10" Antutu score 23973 with cpu-fix-800 (with reported ram speed 1345...).

FTP (ftpdroid and Filezilla on w8.1) score over utp cable with 200mb file: ca. 5mb/s

FYI that's not the Finless keyboard. That is the stock AOSP keyboard. I removed the other keyboard as most don't like it.

Download this zip. Do not unzip it. Put it on SDcard and install it the usual update way. Easy way is to use the update APP. This will install the Remote Keyboard Input Method that I removed from the ROM.

To use it:
1) Go to setting and Language and Input
2) Turn on the Remote Keyboard Input Method (check box next to it).
3) Go into Default (click the line) and select English - Remote Keyboard Input method.
Your done and now have the other keyboard back.

And for testing which keyboard suits best, can you make such a zip file for the keyboard currently in your rom?

Do i need to use such a zip file, or can I use putty to switch those keyboard.xml files? I only found a keyboard.xml in the cache (and an empty keymap folder in de userdata folder), but that gets removed after clearing the cache. You know the location of the original keyboard.xml file?

I am not sure what your asking. When you install keyboards they show up in the settings menu as I have explained.

Keyboard mappings are in /system/usr/keylayout/*.kl
Generic.kl is the stock keyboard. Other .kl files are for other keyboards, joysticks, etc.

There are also mappings in /system/user/keychars/*.kcm

These files can be modified easily as they are text files.

There are also some remapping apps in the play store to do it as well.

What version of XBMC do you guys prefer to install? The Oman version of XBMC 14 alpha1 with hardware decoding? Or is stock XBMC Gotham now possible with embedded amlogic hardware decoding?

Just wondering what others think is the best XBMC version to install on this finless rom. I prefer one with hardware decoding, and I know the Oman version has that. I don't know if there are other versions.
