Sorry folks my 2.2 ROM on the server was actually a prior BETA. It had a old busy box and SU. I really appologize for this mistake. If you have flashed this 2.2 then you really need to reflash again the correct ROM with is now 2.2a.
I have updated the download which is now 2.2a. GO to the first post in this thread and download the correct ROM.
Again sorry for the trouble guys.

lookin good bob, much quicker and smoother install of v6, no warnings or errors, and rebooted in normal time (not 3 mins), v6 confirmed 100% :-) thanks muchly!Comment

well, as i was reinstalling all my apps - superuser again started complaining - crashing unexpectedly. button saviour stops working etc. i dont know if its an app im installing which is causing it, but its just general apps like facebook, k9 etc which i install, nothing fancy. after su crashes, button saviour will work - but ocassionaly it will crash again. the version of superuser in this new rom is still 3.1.3, and from what i read in the xda forums - this error seems linked to that. again i didnt update superuser - no updates at all.....
is there anyway we can inject or downgrade superuser to version 3.0 which reportadly stops these problems, or are we reliant on 3.1.3? great work still bob, this is a big upgrade, just teething probs :-)Comment

I am not having those problems and have been also reinstalling my system. 3.1.3 is the latest so there is nothing to upgrade to.
If you want to downgrade it what you do is download the SU binary you want. Then copy it into /system/bin.
Then set the premissions to RW and execute (in ES FIle explorer all permissions boxes checked).
Reboot and you should be downgraded.

cheers bob, no idea why i seem plagued by these probs with superuser, i meant downgrade sorry yeah - all im reading on xda is that 3.1 causes this exact same error which im getting, noone else seems to be getting these issues though, so must just be me for some reason

I would do the last one in the list su-3.0-bin-efgh-signed.zip. Thats the last release of 3.0.
Npow do not run this as a APK. Open the zip file and copy out the SU binary fron the bin folder. Manually copy it to the tab /system/bin. Again dont forget to change the permissions.

well...cant change permissions as i cant see the option in es - and when i try to enable root exporer mode - it fails. i then went to the reboot app to boot into recovery - and it tells me i dont have root access. this happened previously with the 2.2 rom, but alas - somethings still not happening right. there were no issues during the v6 process. confused.com!!Comment

ok, fresh flash again, as soon as i was in and rebooted i went to superuser app - before doing anythin else at all, as soon as it opens - boom - error as in previous post. i then installed es, and this time managed to enable root viewer mode before the crash. i went to system/bin with the intent of replacing SU with version 3, but i checked the permissions first....and all boxes werent ticked. So i ticked them all, then tried to open SU app - and it worked! no crash. should this file be fully r/w by default?Comment
