UPDATE Oct 18, 2012!

Sorry folks my 2.2a ROM had a little bug with init.d support! That is, it might run scripts in the init.d folder over and over again slowing down the system and eating memory!

I have updated the ROM download in the first post of this thread which is now 2.2b. to fix this issue!

Now in the download links below I have a boot.img update ONLY download kit! If you want to keep your current 2.2a install without erasing and loosing data, then download the 2.2a to 2.2b ROM flash kit ONLY! This will flash boot.img and fix the issue.

If you want the full 2.2b ROM then go to the first post of this thread and download the full ROM. BUT again to update to 2.2b you do not need to do this! Only boot.img needs to be flashed.

NOW... Know this! ANY CWM backups you have from 2.2a, on restore of them they will overwrite the old boot.img on top of this new boot.img. So you should delete any CWM backups and make new ones AFTER flashing the new boot.img update!

Here is the update kit! PLEASE uncheck parameter file in the flash tool.... READ THE README to understand.

Great to know Bob's still on the case for the Arnova 10 G2 as it grows long in the tooth. I was surprised how fast the flash happens; she booted right up afterwards. Thanks.

I got a friend with this tablet, and he's complaining it's slow (even after factory reset).

So I googled a bit, and found your rom (with great comments on it).

I currently only have access to a Linux computer.

I assume I can get it in fastboot mode by holding the volume up and pressing the reset button for 5 seconds (as you said in the readme). After that, I should be able to use the fastboot commands as explained here: http://www.arctablet.com/blog/forum/...m-on-arnova-1/

But is it enough to flash those 3 partitions? There are also some other img files in your zip. Are they needed or not?

No you cannot do that. The 10G2 is a ROckchip Architecture. It has nothing like Fastboot mode or anything like that. That post is for the Arnova 7C which is not Rockchip.

Follow my flashing instructions in the readme.

if I do the quick flash, do I need to erase IDBs? if my judgment is correct i would think not because that would erase all my data correct?

No you do not erase IDB. Just flash the boot.img and done.
