Just received this box, today:

* Installed 5/30 update rom: probably unnecessary as of next step?
* Installed Finless 1.6 ROM for EM8 Square Box
* Installed Easy Root ZIP update
* Installed Bob's CPU Fix (1008, checked with CPU-SET-Pro, set on boot)
* Installed oman's XBMC
* Installed various addons, repos

They are all running superbly. Excellent ROM.

Many people are now buying this box due to price.

My 1.6 ROM was rooted so you did not need to install the EZ Root. But it wont hurt anything either.

Hello Bob or any one,

Many times, upon launching XBMC, I got this message "Swipe down from the top to exit full screen." and "OK" message button.

This message is very annoying and darken the XBMC's screen to almost unusable.

I understand this is the feature (or issue) from Kit Kat's "Immersive mode".

I think it is okay for the message to display for very first time use; but it shouldn't display like 30 times...

Do you know any way to permanently disable this message?

It is pain in the... (especially for novice user) to covert the remote control into "cursor" mode, scroll up, then press okay to get the message away for some moments. Then, the message is coming back...

This is my first post so I hope I won't make a total ar5e of myself
I've been toying with Linux for about 20 years but I certainly have plenty to learn on the dark side of Android...

A big thanks is in order for your work on what seems to be a badly designed H/W platform served by a sub-par dev team, and an ill choice on my end

Quick question: I thought that Launcher3.apk was supposed to be found in /system/private-app rather than /system/app in KitKat. Or did I get it wrong?

Hello, i need some help on this update.
I've follow all the instructions and the update started, then in the end it didn't reboot and nothing appeared in the TV screen. Then I switched the box off (pulled the plug) and then I plugged it again but this time nothing appenned not even the blue light turns on. Can anyone tell me what could have hapenned or how to fixed?? Can it be possible that it fried off??
