    A TV Box from Freaktab.com

    Hello Community,

I have a Question for you. What would you think when FreakTab.com Launched a own TV Box with Freaktab Rom?

    Would you buying it?
    What Hardware you want?
Would you Accept that we Charge 5USD extra for the Community and Future Development of the Box?

    Please Community let me know!

    Regards
    Neomode aka Ray

The idea of Crowdfunding a freaktab unit.. i like

      But
the price of the unit should be under 100usd (to avoid import tax..)
The added support cost.. should be payed separately from units cost

I think 50 for support is abit high.. say 30
      --
      Would i buy it.. maybe
I like to see a S812 amlogic.. or allwinner (optimus board) A80 tvbox 4gb ram / 32gb nand: dualboot linux//android
      Wish list

Most important.. the unit should work out-of-box
      -Not like: rk3188/rk3066/amlogic s802's
      It needs a good heatsink

      Just a thought

        Very nice idea.

I would not mind paying 5usd more for the support. Many devices out there are not even from the manufactures supported, and without the community would be dead.

It think it doesn't matter which processor would come with. However it has to support Xbmc with Full HD even 4k support, with 3d support, without problems. Audio pass through, Ethernet , fast WiFi, working miracast.

Important is for me alsofast shipping without taxes.

Yes, I think is better you direct your effort to support a chip sold by Freaktab and that helps the community instead helping other brands don´t offer minimal support.

          Best Regards.

with me its always what a device will do ie here in uk all flat tv's have freeview but only some have freesat as well i will always buy the one with both, i bought the tronsmart h but if the beelink or 4k boxes had the same spec but with 4 usb and 2 hdmi ports i would have bought one of them instead.as for the 5 dollar support thats about the price of a pint in a local pub and wont even buy you ten cigarettes in the uk so thats no problem.

lets see what you come up with

I would buy it, for me it´s very important that I can use both Netflix and Popcorn Time in it.

Will definitely buy. Its high time.

Please include a non-budget CPU (like the Tegra K1), Gigabit Ethernet, atleast 2 fullsize USB ports, an AOSP/CM/PA ROM (not a modded manufacturer ROM)

Re: A TV Box from Freaktab.com

The biggest kink to the stick and box industry generally isn't hardware quality, nor device design. The problem has almost entirely centered in secretive OS / hardware adaption, lazy firmware development and a fantastic lacking in customer support. Without Freaktab and it's devs and contributors, the android stick market would have imploded by now. This place is the cohesive element that has allowed some advancement in a very large untapped field.
I say go for it. I would totally back a box with the Freaktab name behind it, and $5 to $10 extra for support would be paid gratefully. You could seriously corner the market and force the manufacturers to change their ways with a stable unit that actually does what it's specs indicate AND has support.

                          Vive Freaktab!

Let's do it! I'm behind this effort 100%. It's time already. If it's on a Amlogic S802 chipset and Mali 450 GPU and at least 2 gigs of ram all the better with 4 USB ports you got a loyal paying customer. I hate the way the consumer is treated with regards to firmware updates and functionality.

I hope you consider adding USB 3.0 in the box. I would love to see Netflix HD with 5.1 surround sound. You may have to work with Netflix to get full HD and 5.1. If available then box will sell like hot cackes
