Riley - I did as you adviced few posts before - as I also have problems with random reboots happening pretty often.
So flashing kernel from 1.3 over 1.4 did not help at all.

I think the only way out of that now is to go back to 4.2.2...

        pls help!

        Hi!

Sorry but I'm new here! And sorry about my bad English, but I am a Hungarian. I would like to ask for your help!
Yesterday, one moment to the next my M7T (original 4.2.2) gone black.
Not responding neither the power button nor the reset button.
It has not been showing anything on the screen, just pure blackness all around. I did not do any firmware or root things on this tablet, because I am not good at this thing.
My tablet has not rebooted always as you wrote or never frozen, untill yesterday.
What sould I do? It was fully charged when gone dark.
        Someone had this problem?
Please help me! Thank you in advanced!

          RE: random reboots

I too experince random reboots but not as often as every 5 minutes. I notice that most (if not all) of the times the wifi is on. Any apps can lead to sudden reboot (Gmail, games etc).

I have tried stock and custom ROMs of both 4.2 and 4.4 but the problem persists.

I google more and discover someone claim he fixed the problem by disabling wifi completely. This makes me think the random reboot may be associated with wifi drawing too much power from the tablet.

When I go into the Advance options in wifi (Settings -> wifi -> Menu (3 dots in top right corner) -> Advanced), I change the following wifi settings:

uncheck "keep wifi on during sleep"
uncheck "wifi optimization (minimize battery usage when wifi is on)"
(I did not check "avoid poor connections" because my wifi signal is only 2 bars)

I am currently on stock 4.2 (firmware #649) and I have not experienced any random reboot since changing these settings.

There is no guarantee this (excessive power draw from wifi) is the cause of the problem of random reboots, but it may be worthwhile to give it a try. I read that Android 4.2 / 4.4 itself gives a lot of problems with random reboots, so it may not be the problem of the Pipo tablet.

szimi77 , your problem looks like mine, a few posts before.

slim_thumb, I will check your story.

Random reboots do occur on some days less then others though

Sorry after testing for a few days, the random reboot problem is still there after changing the wifi settings. It is not the cure!

                    Hey! I have a problem.
I did read the instructions on how to flash rom etc.
When I did it all the bootloop started and it was standing there quite a lot.
So I restarted it and tryed to turn it on again and it won't!
I was pressing, holding but nothing happens, is it bricked? Please help!

                      Hello Riley!

Is M7T on the list for further firmware support on discontinued Pipo models? It would be great if you Freaktab devs could solve this random reboot problem on Kitkat.

                      Thank you.
