McPad works as well with this firmware/ROM

For anyone who is interested, the McPad (McBub house brand) N101 can also use this update. Network transmission speed seems to have taken a major jump, but no other surprises so far. Like the boot loader screen.

This is my 3rd "china brand" tablet, and I'm liking the fact that they are something that people can dink around with, vs. the iSlab and other brands. Full 1080 video from the external SD playing on ES internal video is good. Only thing, and this was with the original firmware as well is the maximum volume available on the (dual) speakers is not terribly loud as compared to my Ramos W17 in video. Audio playback (also through ES) is louder, but still not enough to be heard in a moderately loud room. Perhaps that is a limitation on the physical hardware.

I got the N101 and just flashed the ROM. Device is dead. Nothing.The power button is out of function.

OK folks, even though my touch sreen died I can still use a mouse. I created my first ROM for the Yuandao N101.

PLEASE NOTE. I am calling this BETA 1. Since my touch screen is out I cannot test everything using a mouse! So you guys will be helping me test.


Features in 1.4 ROM:

1) This has my ClockWork recovery Mod installed. If you do not want to use it DONT.
On first boot just select reboot now and be done with it!
It will not get in your way again if you do not want it!
Included is Petrus reboot tool which allows you to reboot into recovery from the OS.

Other APPs like Titanium will also reboot into recovery so if you dont want the reboot APP, you can remove it.

2) I have adjusted the parameter file and removed wasted space! More NAND is available now.

3) I have adjusted the user APP space from 1GB to 2GB space.

4) Since /system is now RW, I have increased it's free space to allow rooted and system apps.

5) Installed the latest working SU and SuperUser.apk

6) Updated busybox to 1.19.x (1.20.x has bugs in my opinion)

7) Debloated the ROM of the junk APPs. I also removed the Chinese and Japanese keyboards.
However in the ROM kit is APP Injector. Use that to put back what you want.

This package uses a different flash tool than N101 users have been using to date. It is not RKBatchTool 1.5. It is the RKAndroidTool 1.35. We need it due to the changes I have made to the parameter file and adding ClockWork. Please follow the instruction fully to use this!

the touch screen of my N70 "zz" also stopped responding to touch after I update it ..
I have already installed several firmwares, but nothing resolvel ...
If I put a new touchpad, will it work?

Download Bob's 1.8 Rom

Than download the kernel fix here

Now go into the firmware folder from Bob's 1.8 jellybean Rom, look in the firmware folder and you will see kernel, replace this with the kernel fix that you download from the pda site
(second download link)

Now flash the Rom

Make sure you erase idb before you start on the flash tool screen
