I'm not sure where I read it, but one guy has fix his reboots in the way that he limit the SoC to 1000MHz... That's what I also will try (if I find a moment)... but step by step beginning at 1992...

      screen density

      Great Rom Bob,

Is there a method to force a screen density change? I've done my usual build.prop alteration, but on reboot the screen stays at the default 240. Has Minix hard coded this in somehow so we unable to effect a change?

      cheers

With and without CPU fix. With CPU fix I get reboots every 5-10min. With stock kernel every hour or 2. This leads me to think its a heat problem.

Before you begin to mod your device, open it and use e.g. table fan to cool it down...
(Somewhere I read something about using something like credit card to open the case... have a look at http://www.freaktab.com/showthread.p...e-Minix-Neo-X7)

          As I wrote here

"The easiest way to freeze the system is to use 'PassMark PerformanceTest' (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...mark.pt_mobile) and there at CPU do 1, 2 or 3 times the integer test and the system freezes...."

            which xbmc?
            which tweaks at advancedsettings.xml ?

I have to say - after having loads of trouble with MX player and the usual video players I was beginning to think I had bought another lemon.
BUT! After installing and running XBMC (which has never worked well on any other box I've had) I am amazed how good this box is. No problems at all as long as I use XBMC
Just stock rom with root. I have noticed that using XBMC invokes a very different CPU and codec profile - but maybe that's why it works great! Havent even edited advanced xml cos I read that this version will not use it anyway.

I have the same request. I found a density setting in the system/bin folder inside a file called set_display_mode.sh but any changes I make to the density values doesn't take effect.

I will try the "am display-density xxx" (where xxx is the density value) in a terminal window but I doubt whether it will remain after a reboot.
