    J22 Kernel??

First let me give major props to Ian, love the no flash option. I used your J22 build annd love it BUT I am like a lot of folks i've already read here and on Ian's g+ post. I need a 720p kernel. Lordy, my eyyes aren't up for 1080p. I can easily run Ian's update-sdcard script but could someone point me to a J22 720p-ap6210 kernel with a link. I have tried the radxa pages fix for forcing 720 and it was really much worse than the 1080 so i just adjusted the scale to get my desktop all on the screen. I dont want to have to learn how to compile one myself if the works already done {dont need to reinvent the wheel} Just post me a link to one if it exists. thanx love

        Linuxium Network Drivers

        Hi,

Is there any Linux specialist who has by any chance compiled Kernel 3.0.36+ drivers for the following Network Adapters?

        - KY-RD9700 USB-LAN (USB product id: 0fe6:9700 chipset DM9601) (qf9700.ko or dm9601.ko)

        - Ralink Alfa AWUS036NEH USB-WIFI (RT2870sta.ko or RT3070sta.ko)

I'm trying to use them in Linuxium running on Rikomagic MK802 IV - later version.

There was a thread on this forum in 2013 with user Leolas compiling various drivers for Linux but all the links are dead.

        Thanks!

Once you have written the image just put the SD card into your MiniPC and turn on the power. If you are a Linux user and want to try out one of these images then just write it to an SD card using 'dd if=UNZIPPED_FILE_NAME of=/dev/sdX bs=4M' where 'X' is the disk name and 'UNZIPPED_FILE_NAME' is the file name.

        I'm providing five options:

        Minix Neo X7 - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99...npXdTZYUjhOX1U
        PQ Labs A350-SSD - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99...TJXM2VZaGtMT2c
        Radxa Rock - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99...GNUakZFenNLRVU
        Rikomagic MK802IV New (AP6210) - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99...mIyLTl4Z3ZFRmc
        Rikomagic MK802IV Old (8188EU) - https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B99...jVGRG14aGVoLVE

Just a reminder that the Linuxium user password is 'p' (without the quotes) and that a root password can be set by entering 'sudo su -' and then 'passwd root' in a terminal window. You can expand the file system to utilise the whole SD card by entering 'echo -e "d\nn\np\n1\n81921\n\nw" | sudo fdisk /dev/mmcblk0' then rebooting and entering 'sudo reseize2fs /dev/mmcblk0p1' to complete the resizing and Mali hardware acceleration can be enabled by entering 'sudo mv /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/mesa-egl /usr/lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/xmesa-egl'.

        Enjoy!

If its hardware problem (SD is not ready), maybe the bootloader can help

              hi all
I am trying to use a changed and build videograbber driver and I am hitting a point that I don't know what to do anymore
As you can see I also build the kernel and it is also installed in the boot directory
              Code:
              rwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Nov 18 23:47 ./
              drwxr-xr-x 23 root root 4096 Jul 2 05:24 ../
              -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1437707 Nov 18 23:46 System.map-3.0.36+
              -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1437707 Nov 18 22:37 System.map-3.0.36+.old

                Hi,
Many thanks to linuxium. It works well on MK 809 III. I write this message with linuxiumone
                Although, I need some help.

I have installed french package (sudo apt-get install language-pack-fr language-pack-gnome-fr) but Unity is still in english.
Here's a screenshot of "language support". Buttons remains grey.

I tried "dpkg--reconfigure locales" but no changes.

                Any idea ?

Linux boot problems with Android 4.4.2 version of MK802IV

But, I am unable to get this procedure to work on a new MK802IV (shipped with Android 4.4.2), even though the reason I chose the MK802IV was that it appeared to be popular, and, most importantly, supported by the "Easiest Way..". My guess: It worked well when it shipped with Android 4.2, and something (bootloader?) changed when it was “upgraded” to the 4.4.2 version of the MK802IV.

When my MK802IV powers up with a uSD card loaded with the Linuxium MK802IV image, it no longer boots Android 4.4.2. But it does not boot Ubuntu 12.04 from the SD card, either. It just displays a blank screen with “No Signal” popping up over it it, for about 10 seconds, then changing to “No Support”.

Any advice on my options? Replace the Android 4.4.2 ROM with a 4.2 ROM? Are there any less intrusive options? Can anyone point me in the right direction? I have very little experience.

                    Hi all,

                    before anything,
thank you for your awesome work linuxium
Linux start, my card show me 32go, the acceleration worked.
I just have a last problem, i have a Mk908-II and everything worked well except the sound.

i tried to see if a sound card is recognised, there is a sound card, but absoloutly no sound.

                    i tried a dist upgrade to 14.04.
i can hear the start-up sound but the desktop manager won't launch.

i noticed that when i tried to update, a pop-up noticed me to keep unity out of date or it will not worked.

I will try to install lubuntu desktop and do the update after that.

So, if it does'nt work, did you have a solution to have a functional sound in 12.04 for a Mk908II?
Thank by advance for your attention.

( sorry if the solution was already posted, i'm a noob. i searched for the solution i did'nt find anything. )

Thank a lot again linuxium for your work.

                    Have a nice day.
                    Laodeus.
