i want to try kitkat on rk3066 device but wifi doesnt work (tried couple of kitkat roms and they all boot but none has my wifi driver)
my device uses the Realtek RTL8188CUS chipset (i think that the RTL8192CU uses the same driver too)

if you can make a kernel i would gladly test
i have the Kimdecent B13 / MK812 device with external wifi antenna

    1.device - KIMDECENT B13 (somewhere it is called MK812)
    2.wifi - RTL8188CUS
    3.TV STICK
    4.platform - RK3066
5.SD and HD (BOTH IF POSSIBLE but if not then 720p should be fine)
    Attached Files

I can make a KitKat rom with RTL8188 wifi.
Will see what I can do.
I'm busy setting up a system where I can create kernels faster and collecting different devices information.

I am not sure if Rtl8188,Rtl8188Cus or Rtl8188Eu use the same driver

I have tried the kitkat rom from Ugoos that claimed that is for Rtl8188 devices but wifi was not working for me (probably becouse the UG802 is using Rtl8188Eus chip but not Rtl8188Cus

          Take your time man

                CYX_809III_RK3188 with ESP8089 wifi and MT6222N bluetooth

                Hi mo123

                thanks for your work!

                i flashed your kernel CYX_809III_ESP8089_Stick_HD on this rom cyxtech_rk31 809III 8089_140509_8G2G.rar

Boot is very slow and wifi not working.

Let me know if I can help anyhow, it would be great to have a good kernel for custom roms.

                Ciao!

First of all thanks for your great work.

                  Here is my request:

                  1. Device name: RKM MK802IV
                  2. Wifi chip RTL8188
                  3. TV Stick
                  4. Platform RK3188
                  5. HD Kernel

                  6. Here's the tricky thing. I have this device http://www.asiapads.com/en/zero-devi...ible-2423.html that comes with a cd with the drivers source code for linux and android but I don't know what to do with them. So I would like to know if it would be possible to include them in the kernel. I can upload the zipped cd content to some ciberlocker.

                  7. No extra settings
                  8. Dmesg attached dmesg.txt

                  9. Wifi GPIO Pin numbers: Sorry but I'm a bit lost even with your tutorial.

Oh, forgot to say that my intention is to use it with neomode's custom rom 3.6

Again thanks for your patience and I'll be glad to help in whatever I can.

                        Here is new MT5931 kernel
                        Please test
                        1. Post stock KitKat MT5931 Dmesg and w1b1.txt(wifi,bt on, GPIO Pin dump)
                        2. The same 2 files but with the custom kernel.

                        RTL8188 with RDA Bluetooth
Please test, and upload above 4 files if bluetooth still doesn't work.
MediaFire is a simple to use free service that lets you put all your photos, documents, music, and video in a single place so you can access them anywhere and share them everywhere.

                          Hi Mo123,

It seems we are doing the same thing and 50% of the puzzle each!

I have got the MT5931 wifi working (using Power GPIO3_D0 / Reset GPIO3_D1) but can't seem to get the bluetooth to turn on. I've tried setting GPIO3_PC7 and using RK_RFKILL with no success and also tried using MT6622 bluetooth combo config (MT5931_MT6622) but keep getting the message "mt6622 power_gpio is busy!"

Can you help me get the BT chip working?

Can you post 2 dmesg outputs and GPIO dumps with wifi/bt turned on/off with stock kernel.
