The 1.4 versions installed ok, but my wifi remained absent.

Now, the wifi is back. It's still a bit wobbly, but 95% of the time, I can get access to my wifi. I'm guessing my tab's aerial isn't very good, but none the less, this is a gigantic improvement. I've got my tab back. So thanks a million.

You need to erase Idb on the flash tool screen before you flash the Rom

So try again

If your tablet is from a newer batch than try this firmware

This ROM is for a tablet. WHy did you flash this to your MK808? You need to flash a TV player ROM.

Let me get this straight...you flashed THIS ROM on your TV stick?

This one is for the N101 tablet.

If so, the battery data is not available on your device with the incorrect firmware. That is just one of many differences that are device specific. If you look further, you will find other things not working either.

Look again for the ROM that matches your device and reflash. Strange things happen when you flash the wrong ROM.

I'll bet that solves your problem.

Now, if you did flash the correct ROM and just posted in the wrong thread...try a different release and see if that solves the problem. It helps after the first boot if you flash at 100% because the device will calibrate itself quicker. That may also be the problem. So charge your battery before you flash.

I think he got confused... I do have a 1.5A ROM for the MK808. Actually 1.6 is the latest for MK808. Somehow he found this 1.5a for Yuandao and since they are both RK30 devices the flash worked.

I get confused sometimes too because the ROM names are similar.

It's real easy to get on the wrong thread. That's why I tried to cover both possibilities.

Well I saw a video on someone who flashed THIS very rom (and the link he provided sent me here) to his MK808 and it apparently worked. I decided to try it out.
