MX3 BOX WITH AM LOGIC S802.

This box seems really interesting and very well priced and is also carrying the latest AM Logic S802 ... http://www.geekbuying.com/item/MXIII...ck-330268.html

Could the OP's maybe give it a separate section like the other S802 boxes ??

I would really would like to know if the firmware's for the other boxes could also work on this one as well or maybe get another linux distro for this box like the one we got for the first MX box ...

FW is the same with s82(The round one)...But only the 2G DDR with WIFI/BT one..There is another version is 1G DDR with WIFI only..

If you have the 2G version, then there's so many FWs for you.
Easy way to catch LOG -> Search 'Syslog' in Google Play, then install it and catch log

If you need pcba photos,i will offer tomorrow.

compare with the round ones, it has no ESD and EMI material, also the factory reduce some capacitance to make the price lower.

                  Eric

Hi Eric, what do you mean it has "reduce some capacitance" ? Does this mean the box is less tolerant of poor power in some places and becomes unstable?

No,if the factory release a product unstable , they are idiot. they must test for long time, and find after reduce such capacitance, it won't effect a lot for the total performance. I think the biggest price difference is the RAM 2GB VS 1GB. and the wifi , AP6210 vs rtl8188.

                      1 USD?
LOL, TOM, you funny. i think the biggest price difference is coming from the RAM and WIFI Module. those capacitance won't effect the total cost a lot, i think they can release the products, means they have tested it for long time, release a product with lots of problem, it's idiot.

                        Hi Eric,

Can you kindly comment on the Wifi range/speed of the new MXIII? You alluded to weaker wifi on another thread. Thanks.

but if you prefer to use ethernet, and mainly use for XBMC, then the 1GB MXIII is ok also.

the MXIII 1gb version use the realtek RTL8188ETV module, and the 2GB mxiii use the ap6330.

those chinese factory has been tried their best to low the cost. hope the quality won't change so fast like the price

How do you want me to test? speed test app? the rtl8188etv don't support 5ghz wifi.

                          please note.

HI Eric, Im more interested in the 2g/8g model with dual wifi ap6330 chipset.. hows the range? you say its weaker than the M8, how so? can you give more details? I found the mx box has pretty weak wifi, is this comparable or worse?

Can you post pcba pictures of 2g model. Box is very handsome and material seems good quality. Good to know if any things removed from pcba and we compare with round ones. The only cons ATM is 2a power supply.
