I think there are many dealers discounting the M8 to clear out stock. The cost of the M8 and MXiii 2GB are very similar. At $69 someone is only making a few $ per unit.

I've just purchased one of these boxes of **** in the UK and so far so good.
I Havnt really messed around with roms or firmware as I don't know how to install them.

If some one could point me in the right direction that would be great. What's this Finless rom I've read about? Is it worth installing it and also the updated firmware. I've seen that on the official website but I don't know how to install it.


Anyway. All works out of the box. Mainly purchased it for Xbmc. It came with 14 alpha installed but I do on removed it and put on Gotham 13.1 it works fine. No problems so far.

Added a few games and apps on it too. Can someone recommend a good cheap game controller so I can play Android games on it please.

He was referring to the cost..not retail. My cost is $55 for the 1GB and $65 for the 2GB MXiii.

I think there doesn't exit any custom rom yet (at the moment only for round ones and another kind of square one)...
(Finless is one of the guys how dev/mod custom rom)

you lost all s89 FW support +1gb ram + 5ghz wifi for $15 ! I'm sure he will port it to 2gb box cos He already port it to M8 square box and the only difference is Nand flash chips...
