you lost all s89 FW support +1gb ram + 5ghz wifi for $15 ! I'm sure he will port it to 2gb box cos He already port it to M8 square box and the only difference is Nand flash chips...

1. first oman FW (like 108k4) is released for 1GB Version
2. stane get a 1GB version AND I only want to have it for XBMC Linux and nothing else

"end user" (with big technical background (hw/sw)) => YES
"distributor" => NO

if you mean "geeker"
positive (interested in new technology (also with a deep look inside)) => than I'm a geeker
negative (arrogant / ignorant etc.) => than I'm NOT a geeker

"information transmitter" => I don't really know, what you mean, but if you mean an 'end user (with big technical background (hw/sw))' and a 'positive geeker' with good social skills, than I'm also a information transmitter (also a helping hand)

yesterday i was playing with the box and i am very pleased, is very fast.

mine came with xbmc 14.0 alpha (wtf, 14??)

i played tons of movies and only had a problem with 1 of them (a 30Gb mkv file) that one was unplayable, (freezes every 2 seconds)


if you are using it for xbmc i think the 1gb version is enougth, i had allways about 300mb free memory abailable, and i dont use wifi, so the cheap wifi chip doesnt bother me, i dont use bluetooth..


this afternoon i will try to upgrade to the latest kernel and report.

Does it mean you use LAN?
Do you play this big file via LAN (and what mean 'freezes every 2 seconds' and what happens after the freeze)?
Maybe it helps to play it local (HDD or fast pen or fast SD)...
(maybe also to edit the advancedsettings.xml)
