Q7 - STOCK Rom Collection (& customs)

great idea of yours to start up this collection of roms

I own a CS918 (that' how the seller tomtop.wholesaler described it...). I opened up the device and found the PCB mentioned above XT-Q7V-V10 2014-08-15. My wifi chipset is Realtek RTL8188ETV and I am on android 4.4.2

My TV screen was always going black and back on, rendering the device in fact unusable.

I searched around and found and flashed this rom (Q7_CS918.Android_4.4.2_Boot_2.10_Stock.img) from http://4pda.ru/ (the link is http://4pda.ru/pages/go/?u=https%3A%...2.10_Stock.rar

Unfortunately and as a newbee I am, I flashed without backing up my csutom rom (but that does not really matter, since it was useless anyway...) The new rom is working properly and I am getting the blank screen issue every now and then, so the device is usable.... I asked the seller to provide me with the latest custom rom and he send me this http://mail.qq.com/cgi-bin/ftnExs_do...&code=019dae94

I downloaded the rom that was a rar file, consisting of 3 files: k200-ota-20140917.zip (384 MB), factory_update_param.aml (1KB) and recovery.img (8,2 MB).

I was waiting for an img file and he send me this!! I do not know how I possibly could flash this rom. Do you or anyone else have an idea??

That is AMLogic ROM and it's not possible to flash it to your device.

I'm afraid I don't know as I'm now completely baffled by the abundance of varying "Q7" hardware.

Mine is XT-Q7-V10 2013-12-05 which I believe has the RTL8188 WiFi (not even sure how you tell).

I haven't tried the firmware, but I'm assuming it will work with my Q7

It should probably be noted that all the ROMs in the post are for the XT-Q7-V01/V10 and will not work on the XT-Q7-V11.

Webcam on Q7

Hello Guys,

I have Q7, with the Geekbuying 4.4.2 Rom, everything works fine (i am installing justXBMC right now, I'll let you know how that goes) except for the Webcam. I rooted it with KingRoot.

I've got a Logitech C270, because I want to use the Q7 for Skype. The box recognizes the camera but the image is too dark. I installed FV-5 Camera and modified the exposure compensation to +3 and I get a better image.

I was wondering if anyone has a similar issue and how did you manage to solve it.

What is the latest updated firmware for this model? i tried so many and nothing worked so i switched back to stock that came with it. I am trying to update the firmware because i have a problem of screen going dark after watching a movie for a while. I tried switching tv's, cables, power adaptors nothing helps.
