I have an M8N S802 square box stuck on Kitkat and have tried every TWRP image in the downloads section but nothing works! Has anyone any experience of getting TWRP to install on this device? Is there an image that works?

Update: I've found M8N specific versions of TWRP on this forum TWRP_2.8.5.0_M8N.img and TWRP_2.8.7.0_M8N.img but they don't work either. Not sure what I'm doing wrong!

Sorted! Just tried a different SD card - a slower one with smaller capacity and the TWRP_2.8.7.0_M8N.img worked a treat!

I apologize if it's already asked before: Which version if any would work on Minix U9-H running Android 7.1.2 (Android TV Version)?

Okay, here's an initial build of TWRP 3.2.3-0 for the Amlogic u211 reference hardware: twrp.u211-3.2.3-0.img

It's built with the twrp-8.1 minimum OMNI branch and is using a prebuilt GT1 Mini kernel. I'll be creating a twrp-8.1 branch in the Amlogic repository for this along with updates for the q201 and p212 reference hardware.

UPDATE: The GitHub repository has been updated. There's a screen blanking issue on twrp-8.1 that I'm seeing on q201 (S912) and p212 (S905X), but it doesn't seem to be affecting u211 (S905X2). Trying to track down a fix with Amlogic. For now, you can work around the problem by simply unplugging and reconnecting the HDMI cable.

There's a separate thread to read for TWRP for Rockchip devices. I simply haven't done much custom ROM development on Rockchip, and I've never had a 3399 device. It should be relatively straightforward to build one, though, and I posted the RK3328 device tree source.

You should also take a look here:
