        Volume

        Guys i am planning to buy the tablet these days and i read in some reviews that the sound volume is really low... On my old PIPO m9 max, the volume was also incredibly low and i managed to increase it by x5 times almost, using viper4android and setting it up correctly...

        My question is, has anyone tried viper4android on the P1 and reached satisfying results?

        Thank you in advance.

        P.S. Brunasa, maybe you should try it, and let me and the others know?

        P.S. 2. For those who do not know viper4android and how to set it up, here is an old post i made about my m9 max:
        Install the latest apk version of this: http://vipersaudio.com/blog/?page_id=48

        Then when u start it will ask to install its drivers, install the normal ones...
        Then reboot, then play with the equaliser settings and all the rest untill you make it sound as loud as possible..
        If you do not manage to make it satisfying, i uploaded the best setting i had on my M9 and they should be as effective on the P1,
        you are supposed extract the zip and copy that file in your internal sdcard/Viper4android/profile/M9 best.prf ... Once you coy the file, open viper4android and click on the 3 dot menu in the upper right corner and click load profile, then M9 best... All shall be set if you have done the rest right...
        The sound can truly go like 5 6 times louder.. It can become louder than most laptops

          The volume sounds loud enough for me.

          BTW, I'm downloading a new firmware update. Stay tuned for v1.4 soon.

            Dear Riley,

            I have been researching in 4pda.ru where our Russian brothers have different kernels for the P1 which supposedly improve the performance a lot, if everyone here aware of the existence of various kernels?

              OK, false alarm on v1.4 just yet. The file I downloaded is the same as this firmware.

              I'm not aware of any custom kernels. You are welcome to share links here to them if you find them.

                Can't run LowerFormat

                Hey sorry if this has been mentioned in the past but I couldn't find it in the previous 2 Riley Rom posts or in the Pipo users: READ THIS BEFORE FLASHING A KITKAT ROM!!!!! post and I can't find the first time flashing guide mentioned in the 1.3 download

                Ive run the Android Tool not changing any settings it detects the tablet fine the tool outputs
                Found one MSC device displays

                I can click switch the screen goes blank the tool outputs
                Switch MSC Start
                Switch MSC Success

                I then click the LowerFormat the tool outputs
                Lowerformat Device Start
                Lowerformat Device fail

                The log has the following entries for this timestamp
                12:25:49 836 Error:RKU_Open-->CreateFile failed,err=2,path=\\?\USB#VID_2207&PID_320A#6&E3E7 252&0&4#{a5dcbf10-6530-11d2-901f-00c04fb951ed}
                12:25:49 836 <LAYER 2-1-4> ERROR:LowerFormatDevice-->RKU_TestDeviceReady failed,subCode(0xfd),RetCode(-1)

                The Scan log contains
                12:24:56 879 Error:EnumerateHubPorts-->DeviceIoControl failed,err=0x48f
                12:24:56 893 Error:EnumerateHubPorts-->DeviceIoControl failed,err=0x48f

                My tablet is Pipo P1 running 4.4.2 the stock version it was sent with
                build number rk3288-eng 4.4.2 KOT49H eng.ljh.20140708.105247 test keys
                kernel ver 3.10.0

                I have disabled USB debugging and tried turning off debugging mode but it didn't change the result

                I have tried changing the usb mode for the tablet but only Mass Storage mode seems to detect the tablet in the Android Flash tool

                My usb drivers are up to date according to windows

                The device is rooted using Kinguser not sure if that would be causing an issue

                Does anyone know whats wrong please?

                    I think that is generally a scapegoat so the people supporting the device can shift the blame unless the device does not support the usb protocol correctly and the cable is non standard which is possible with cheap tablets i suppose anyway

                    I have tried three separate cables one of them is the original pipo one one nexus 7 and a kindle paperwhite

                    all produce the same issue

                    When i click switch in the AndroidTool device is dismounted i guess you could say then reconnected. when reconnected the Rockusb Device in Device manager comes up with a exclamation mark and says the device cannot start Code 10 is that normal? when in flash mode?

                        I had exactly the same issue. Go to Control panel -> Device manager -> Show -> Show hidden devices. And then uninstall every rockship device.

                          What stage do you do this at? if i do it before i use AndroidTools there are two entries under Disk Drive if I remove both then the tools software can still find the tablet but the Switch command fails instead of LowerFormat

                          if i leave them there and run the switch command through tools then they are removed automatically and a new catagory Class for rockusb devices with a single entry Rockusb Device appears

                          If i remove that then AndroidTools cannot find the tablet anymore and I cant use the LowerFormat option

                          Ive tried deleting it entirely and readding the driver from the 1.3 files download and still the same issue

                          Thanks for replying sorry being difficult

                            Unplug your device and close flash tool then uninstall rockship devices. Also make sure you uninstall drivers if asked. Then reboot your Windows and plug your device. Windows will install drivers again and you should be able to flash. If this doesn't help, try another computer if possible.

                              Light Sensor?

                              Has the P1 a working lightsensor? My M6pro seems not to have one...

                                You cant uninstall when device is unplugged as the drivers aren't visible to uninstall if not plugged in anyway
                                Ive plugged in uninstalled the two hd drivers they cant be deleted though just uninstalled
                                run the android tool clicked switch uninstalled and deleted the Rockusb Device driver

                                rebooted plugging in again with un switched installs the same two hd drivers
                                Switch creates an unknown device that doesn't have drivers
                                Android tool cant detect anything
                                Updating that driver to the one included with firmware installs the same Rockusb Device as before
                                The android tool detects the tablet now
                                Lowerformat fails same error same log entries

                                I'll try this again tomorrow on a third pc
