At the bottom of post #1 is a link to download an alternate boot.img that will swap internal and external SD.
I don't have one of these tablets...so I can't test it.
Please try it out and report your experience.

I checked some system files, and looks like modification of links in the /init* files can solve this issue (swap sdcard1 with sdcard0). Problem is, that these files are overwritten with default after each reboot, and to take modifications in these files in the account you need to reboot, so ... (if I am right).
Looks like boot.img need to be modified for this. Does anyone know how to do that? Will it work after? Is there any cksum check?
Thanks for info and help.

Then I tried to use your MTK_AllInOne_DA.bin, it accepts it. Another problem arise when choosing the scatter-loading File.
Tried the file I sent you, give me an Empty Error Window Popup.
Tried using your scatter file...it also give me an empty error Window Popup.
Now I am contacting seller to give me new Firmware... or whatever she can find.

check mboth Ali and Pandawill to compare the price.
I know nothing about Vido.I understand that Chuwi is a respectable company in China, producing very good stuff.
The only problem in China is quality control, u have to insist on what to be checked thoroughly,so do it w/out remorse and u'll have the best product.

Great! Thank you for the reply. On November 11th Aliexpress is having some kind of sale so I might buy it then.
Also there is a similar tablet Vido M80 but there are not a lot of reviews on the internet. Something on Zol.com a bitLast edited by stops; 08 November 2014, 14:12.

@stop:After 1.5 weeks of using the tablet 4-6 hours a day ,i can tell u that this cheap tablet it's a must have.
Everithing works flawless, but i must admit that ,when i made the order on pandawill,i asked the guys there to check the tablet very hard, especialy on GPS .As long as i see, they respect my demands,so all works perfect on it.
I play 2 big and resource eating games now(Drgon Quest 8 and Evolution:Battle for Utopia) without any lag.
The screen is astounding in brightness . colors and viewing angles,GPS is connecting in less than 10 seconds,WI-FI works without signal drops(and it's stronger than the one on my phone-an Wiko Cinq Five-who have a good WI-FI)
Also , the tablet is thin(9 mm),the brezel is only 5 mm,making the screen huge.
The minus:sound is poor on speaker and on headphones is very flat(no mediums,no bass).U cannot use any other usb cable beside the one provided,my OTG cable it's not working on it and i cannot charge it with my Samsung charger.
But,in the end,if u use an eq program from Playstore, don't need OTG(or u buy one made for this tablet),it worth every cent u pay for it,so grab it
Any other questions u have, feel free to ask.

It's a great news having CWM...!!!
Congratulations nickikn1973!!!, and of course you too Riley for your endless improvement of our tablets with your ROMs
BTW, has anyone been successful in bringing NTFS OTG support to this Chuwi VX8?
Becuase I've tried it fruitless,...just with the usual apps ..Paragon, NTFS Mounter,...
