I may have to take you up on that offer. John was on vacation last week, so maybe he'll be back Monday for a conversation.

It's a bank holiday Monday here today, so you won't get any reply until at least tomorrow. Let me know if you need me to do anything.

Amazing news! Is there any chance Pipo S2 is in that list? Mine is having some NAND problems and i keep flashing my backup over and over again, until the next time it crashes. Maybe a new kernel and Android 4.4 with TRIM support would resurrect it!

          great news!!

about m8pro, imho, there is just one thing to be fixed - strange deep sleep problem and wake up from it. but i'm sure that you know all about it.

            PiPo U6 please

This tablet only got 1 FW upgrade. The tablet lags and gets stuck all the time. It is very frustrating.

I agree the U6 needs some love. I've added it to the list.

                U6

Thanks. The U6 was totally neglected.

Randy, did you ever get to debug the reason why your latest U6 FW had the camera and the HDMI output not working properly?
I flashed a different ROM based on PiPo's latest FW version, and the camera and HDMI worked flawlessly.

Since I don't have a U6, that would be difficult. I did go over all of the files I removed during the debloat, but none would seem to affect the camera.

One thing to try, though is with a different Superuser. There may be a problem with SuperSU. That seems to be the only thing different. Does this alternate ROM use SuperSU?

I think the site should be written in first post. It will be easier for everyone to find.

Hahaha, that was an oversight on my part. I wrote this thread before we started the site.

Please be watching both locations for further developments.

As of now, I'm still waiting for delivery of the source code. It's currently somewhere between China and Arkansas, USA...as soon as I receive the code...I will let everyone know.

In the meantime, by all means...keep up the comments, and help provide us with information about what you feel is needed.

The Kasty U6 ROM also uses superSU

Master Randy any news? I hope that everything arrived safely and leave something good. I guess you're already having fun boss for this lack of movement here.
Thanks for all your efforts my hero

                            We have a little hitch.

While I've received outstanding support from Pipo on this project, a secretary accidentally mailed the sources to me rather than sending it via DHL. So instead of just taking a few days to arrive...it's taking weeks. I've been watching the tracking on this, and I think it's finally on the way to the USA.

As soon as I get the sources, I will update some more...but now we are just waiting...and waiting...etc.......

Why are they using snail-mail, and not some kind of cloud repository?

                                firmware delivery

OOPS !! My offer still stands Randy, but you would need to initiate the request should you wish. I doubt very much that they have access to any more than 1 or 2Gb of cloud storage or even the understanding of how to use it other than for sharing photos on their beloved QQ!
