    Pipo P4 RileyROM 1.5 (Android 4.4.4)

This ROM is based on official Pipo Firmware dated 8/20/14 #587 for the wifi only version of the Pipo P4 RK3288 tablet.

I'm not exactly sure what changes were made in this new firmware. But I hope this fixes the problem with battery draining so fast.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted with SuperSU
    Deboated
    Init.d/Busybox support added
Pre-Install added (can install apps automatically from external SD "autoinstall" folder)
    Reboot App by Petrus
2, 4, 6, 8, 10 or 12gb user app space (by choosing the desired parameter file).

    TWRP Recovery coming soon!!!!!!!!!

Enjoy!...and remember to donate to support future RileyROM development.

Edit: There is now a 3G version of this ROM below
Edit: The wifi version is now 1.5.1 and contains some battery saving tweaks.

Thank you, I just flashed it, I am now installing my apps from Play store. I have my brightness set to minimal (as always) and will report later today what the result is.

By the way, with my Nexus 7 and HTC Wildfire would always ask me if I wanted my apps back after a flash, any tips on how to achieve that with this tab?

Update: In 1 hour 18 minutes my battery went from 98 to 76%. This includes installing 32 apps from google play and 45 minutes of travelling in my laptop bag with the screen closed.

Are you also using the Pipo smart cover with it? Today I am leaving it on my desk without cover to monitor battery usage every now and then.

            Thank you.

            Hi Randy.

I'm new on this forum (not in android world)
This post to thank you for your reactivity and the quality of your releases.

I received my P1 10 day ago, and now need to flash it mainly because of its unsufficient user space.
So, RileyRom 1.5 is for me... And this evening, back from work, i'll flash.

I'll do a review of the diffences found with stock firmware.

Android world (specially chinese Android) need people like you.

At the moment, yes. The binary I used in 3188 to auto install TWRP doesn't work on these 3288 tabs.

It's been 13 hours since last charge, tab is now down to 32%. Use has been quite minimal so I may still have a drain. Can I find out more in logs?

First of all I want to thank you for putting your time and effort into making roms, guides and helping people on the forums, I will be sure to donate some money in the near future.

I've had the P4 for a few days now and I've flashed this rom today, and it seems to be working great so far.
The only problem I've encountered was while flashing the rom; for some reason I can't flash it when the "Parameter" box is ticked.
So I've unticked the box and continued flashing the rom, but I'd like to have more space for my games and apps.
I've also tried to use any of the other parameter files but they all gave the same error,

                      This is the log:

                      14:50:17 832 Error:CheckDownloadItem-->RileyROM\977_rk3288-3.10-uboot.parameter6.txt is not existed!

One other that was kind of strange to me is that when i did the "LowerFormat" right before flashing the rom it finished almost instantly while in the guide it states that it should take a while before finishing.

To the right of the parameter line is a box you can click to browse to the RileyROM folder and choose your desired parameter file. I've had some problems changing the configuration file for the flash tool...so the path may be messed up.

It's been 1 hour since I removed it from the charger, I haven't used it more than 5 minutes and I am at 78%. I have removed facebook, twitter & linkedin apps as these can be nasty but no change. My iFive X2 could last a week or longer if not used.
