On pipo p1 there isn't any temperature sensor! This is why you see 0 C

Yeah, but i think that a temperature sensor it's a must have for any device, for example to do a correct down scaling of cpu in a "partnership" between frequency and temperature of cpu.

I agree with you but i've never seen a temp sensor on budget chinese tablets!

There is a new P1 ROM dated Sep 6 and/or Sep 10.
Does anyone know what has been changed/fixed?

I've been busy working today and haven't even checked for firmware updates.

There is no explanation of changes, but I'm downloading it. We shall see.

I've completed two new ROM's for the P1, based on firmware I received dated 9/6/2014 for both wifi and 3G versions. While there is a newer date, the original firmware files still have #489, which was the same number as my v1.5 ROM. Therefore, I'm not exactly sure what has changed in this firmware version...but I decided to release it just in case there is something significant.

PIPO P1 3G Dead

Hi there,

i am experiencing some problems with my Pipo P1 3G,

Suddenly it powered off. The tablet does not turn on or anything, no matter what combination of buttons i press. (Vol +, Vol-, reset etc).

Then, I connect them to pc and nothing happened. However, when I press the power button, the pc recognize the tablet for some seconds and again nothing.
I noticed that, when I connect the charger the tablet is recognized on RBBatchtool 1.7v, but with blue box.
I spend hours on internet…
And yes, I've tried all - from shorting the pins on the board (for my case the pin seems to be the number 12 and 13) to unsolder the battery of the board and drain the power on the board completely - , but none of these methods work out for me and my tablet is still in maskrom mode (seen as a blue square on the upgrade/restore tool program)...
When i open up RKBatchtool under connected devices the number one box is coloured blue (it should be green), when i try to restore or upgrade i get the message 'Prepare IDB fail'

The tablet shows in Windows device manager as Rockchip and as i said it shows up in RBBatchtool but i cannot get to load the firmware.

I have charged overnight, so am sure it has got power in the battery.

It happened some days after the 20140906_PIPO_P1_update_3G_#489 installation. During these days i have many lags and power off, but after reset the tablet was ok.

Any ideas?

I think you have a NAND memory chip failure. This is a hardware problem. You need to contact your vendor for a replacement.

hello, For me I just do the flash with this rom and i had an error after clic on the "run button"
The lowlevel is well done, but, after "run" = "fail"
And i think my p1 is really dead after that.
Screen black, and no reaction at all.
I have tested the power-on 10s : nothing
Reset + Vol - : nothing
Reset and volum + : nothing
Vol+ and power : nothing
vol - and power : nothing

Windows see nothing with no notification sound. Android tools say : No found any device.

Tested with 2 computers in w7 with Rk driver installed. Same problem.

need help !
