I can only tell you to try on your own risk. FW is using latest kernel, android and uboot sources. But with shiningworth and their products you never know...

Upgrading apps you mean. XBMC not installed probably because you did manual install, you did not wipe your data partition. XBMC is same as on my page, you can install that one.

Installed your 13.2 from your site, opened up but it crashes or reboots the box after a few seconds.
Going to try a full install again could be have been a bad one

Does the kernel include drivers for gamepads like Sony (hid-sony) or xbox 360 gamepads (xpad)?

If not, I can try to compile some modules since it seems the kernel is available in your github.

is meson8_k200a_2G dtd needed I guess? I have never compiled amlogic with device tree structure, only old amlogic 3.0.50 used in mx, but I wanna give a try.

No, I did not include these drivers, but will add. For building modules you don't need dtd (however, it's altered k200b_2g_4k2k.dtd). Kernel on github is GPL released, I'm using non-gpl kernel that comes with sdk. I did not check, but think that there is slight difference.
