hi, i flashed my stock cx-919 to finless and the flash went fine but im getting no picture at all. so i tried a few other roms following the guides but still getting no picture on all of what i try.

what am i doing wrong?

Your device seems very similar to mine. It came with jellybean and here is a link to a backup from its original firmware, I hope it works for you.

I've only been able to flash it with the following procedure.
1. from windows with rkandroidtool v1.37 erase idb and flash parameter and loader.
2. from linux with rkflashkit flash misc, boot, kernel, recovery and system.
3. after sucesfull flashing, boot android and go to system/storage, there you have to mount internal nand and format it
Hope it works for you and I hope somebody finds a way to install kitkat

No link. This is another cx919 stick. We need to save it to rom. Rom dumper.

Go to settings then to storage, choose mount nand flash. you'll get a notification informing you that it is not formatted and asking you if you would like to format say yes.

No possibility the of getting that rom? Could you dump it? do tou need any help on dumping the rom?

You should have to enter mask mode by shorting pins 7-8 in the samsung chip

as soon as i have time i'll post instructions on how to do it.
do you have a working linux installation? It's much easier to dump the partitions in linux.
in a quick way i'll tell you that you should dump the parameter file and the bootloader from windows with rkflashtool 2.1.
then go to linux and dump the partitions with rkflashkit.

These are the instructions to dump it from windows by Finless.

at least you should dump the kernel image file and we could try and make it work in another rom.

2. choose misc partition in download tab.
3. go to advanced function tab: start:0x00002000 count:0x00002000
4. press export image button
5. rename exportimage file in output folder as misc.img

2. choose kernel partition in download tab.
3. go to advanced function tab start:0x00004000 count:0x00008000
4. press export image button
5. rename exportimage file in output folder as kernel.img


2. choose boot partition in download tab.
3. go to advanced function tab start:0x0000c000 count:0x00008000
4. press export image button
5. rename exportimage file in output folder as boot.img

2. choose recovery partition in download tab.
3. go to advanced function tab start:0x00014000 count:0x0000c000
4. press export image button
5. rename exportimage file in output folder as recovery.img

2. choose backup partition in download tab.
3. go to advanced function tab start:0x00020000 count:0x00100000
4. press export image button
5. rename exportimage file in output folder as backup.img

2. choose system partition in download tab.
3. go to advanced function tab start:0x00562000 count:0x00100000
4. press export image button
5. rename exportimage file in output folder as system.img

And you have finished, we don't need the resto of partitions.
You should have in the output folder:
bootloader.bin
parameter

recovery.img
syste.img
backup.img
Now you should be able to flash it to the other stick
