    Hi,

did you find a stock ROM? If not, I could upload my dump from the stock ROM my tablet had before I flashed a custom ROM (including misc.img, kernel.img, boot.img, recovery.img, system.img and backup.img).

But I think a clean/another stock ROM would be better. riley, where to find these stock ROMs? AFAIK you're using stock ROMs for your modified, custom ROMs, right?

    so long,

I have a couple of loose ends I would like to share, perhaps we could tie them up.

        1. My P4 has been experiencing random power downs, when powered on battery is not empty, it could even be at 90% or so. Is this ROM related?
        2. Although I have stopped using it, Google Experience launcher will not work until I have had a random power down. I have seen this with all flashes to new versions of RileyRom. The launcher will definitely not show up in the list of options until it goes power down. Manual power down has no effect.
        3. I just updated to 1.9 but my Battery usage still shows cell standby taking up 5% battery in 24 hours.

So I think that 1 & 2 are related, just not sure if it's software or hardware

@Arika SalafThanks for sharing the upgrade tip, I hate re-installing all those apps and it worked fine the upgrade

I haven't had any random power downs so don't think your problem is ROM related. I'm using Nova launcher not Experience.

I think the cell standby drain can be expected unless you delete or freeze the phone apps.

I've been experiencing sleep drain on my 1.6 - 1.7 - 1.9 ROMS sofar and am unable to find the cause. Resetting / format does not cure it.

I got rid of cell standby (in a WiFi only tablet) by setting airplane mode (which turns WiFi off) and then turning WiFi back on manually.

In theory that should work but for some reason it doesn't, check your battery stats again on a full cycle.

                      Hi Riley,

First of all, I'd like to thank you for your work I received my P4 a couple of days ago and wanted to try your roms but made a big mistake...
I tried version 2.0.1 but the multiwindow feature didn't work, so I decided to have a go on version 1.9...
When loading every field in AndroidTool, I decided to load the TWRP_PiPo_P4 recovery instead of the stock one, just to make the whole restoring thing a bit quicker, but something went wrong...
After flashing, my P4 will only boot to TWRP. My PC won't detect the tablet in order to reflash and I didn't make a backup of the system previosly to all this
Is there anything I can do to get it back to life? Thanks in advance.

Edit: Problem solved I manually entered flash mode by holding down vol- and power buttons. Tablet detected by PC instantly!!

Hahaha!!!! Nothing like that sinking feeling you get when you have a brand new tablet sitting there...and you can't do anything with it. I've had that feeling many times. I'm glad you found that little trick...it's something that must be mentioned occasionally.

I have a P4 ordered so I can provide a little better support.

FYI, the reason it's important to flash the stock recovery the first time you are flashing a new ROM is that the stock recovery formats all of the partitions. TWRP isn't set up to do that. If you flash with TWRP, initially...you won't have the required partitions formatted correctly...and the tablet will likely not boot.

Yep, I was growing a bit nervous... I thought the only way to get it back would be to ask for a nandroid backup around here, which would be a bit of a hassle... Finally it all turned out simple and easy
