thanx no span for your advice!

      Your knowlegebase is really amazing.

      It's worked perfectly.

I'm working at this time on Linaro Rom (linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4). This ROM has advantage, that's possible to logout and restart DE.

Also I tried to install lubuntu-desktop - but I only get problems with cursor sign.

If I want to startup this lubuntu DE, always I was falling back to the login screen - same problem what I was experiancing after installing xubuntu-desktop.

Still a lot of things to improve on this device.

I used only RFS from the build, because to use the whole image my decive don't startup.

To get it out of the image - I explored with fdisk the img file (sorry it's in German - but whats necessary its shown as numbers)

          Allwinner-A80# sudo fdisk -l linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4.img

          Platte linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4.img: 1950 MByte, 1950351360 Byte
          255 Köpfe, 63 Sektoren/Spur, 237 Zylinder, zusammen 3809280 Sektoren
          Einheiten = Sektoren von 1 × 512 = 512 Bytes
          Sector size (logical/physical): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
          I/O size (minimum/optimal): 512 bytes / 512 bytes
          Festplattenidentifikation: 0x00000000

Gerät boot. Anfang Ende Blöcke Id System
          linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4.img1 40960 65535 12288 83 Linux
          linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4.img2 65536 3694591 1814528 83 Linux
          Allwinner-A80#

          I mounted (-o loop) the img2 file with offset 65536 * 512 = 33554432 to /mnt and got the ext4 RFS.

          Allwinner-A80# sudo mount -o loop,offset=33554432 linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4.img /mnt

After this operation I made a tarball <linaro-desktop-cb4-card-hdmi-v0.4.tar.gz> and lateron extracted this to my sdcard in mmcblk0p7/sdX7.
After this the A80 starts up and showed the background picture from this build.

BTW wifi don't work out of the box - but at the moment I use ethernet interface for internet access. Maybe lateron I will take a look about this problem.

I'm quite new with this build and when I have more info's I'll share it here.
