I see this in the logs. But if i am not connected via adb it cannot wake up via the key press on my keyboard. I wonder if the USB is going to sleep and not taking input. Need to find a way to monitor if it is going to sleep and if it is do the power button key press.

That just gave me a thought. i can run a script once a minute look for sleep state via dmesg and if it see's sleep have it press the button. I don't know what impact it will have whil watching a movie.
I wondered the same thing about the USB ... I use a wireless USB keyboard, do you have one plugged in directly? I was trying to find scripting ideas too - sending the power button keypress...seems dangerous! but maybe it would be ok ( assuming its only triggered when sleep is detected - I would think if you were watching a movie, it wouldn't hit that sleep state, right? )

working now ... but I can play with it tonight and see if I can figure something out.

      http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2544755 here shows sleep state...

Monitor this file and >> to a file every 10 seconds then unplug tv. then wait 10 min

After it falls asleep reboot and see what you get.

        Prahjister,

I didn't quite get your reference ( maybe monitor the file cat /d/cpuidle/deepest_state ) but I didn't have that file on my system?

HOWEVER, I am pretty sure I found a solution ( stayed awake for 30 min...now I have to leave it alone longer to be sure ).

Look in Developer options ... "stay awake when charging" or something like that ... simple enough ... seems to do it for me. ( Again, pretty sure TV was off for 30min or so ... )

Also, I installed an ssh server and it has a "keep awake" setting as well which I turned on ( didn't have that before, this is just doubling up on the concept ... ) think that will do it for me.

I'll keep you posted, and thanks again for a great ROM.

OH ... while I have you ... you can watch Netflix w/out any stutters? Is it just me? Everything else is so smooth, can't figure it.

        thanks again.

Seems to be working for me. Woke up today, MK808 is cool to the touch, turned on TV, switched inputs to MK808, touched mousepad and was looking at the home screen!

The setting is "developer options->Stay awake"

I do have an SSH server installed ( ice cold apps one), and it has a similar setting, I really don't know if that's needed or not. I suppose if I was nice, I would get rid of that and test again. If I do, I will post back.

Also, watched a movie in Netflix last night ... I have to say I still think the stuttering is there, but its pretty minor.

I went ahead and replaced the power supply with a two amp. Worked like a charm. Thx again for a very smooth ROM. I'm getting 18370 on antutu. The ROM runs butter smooth.

Well, 2 more "rests" and 2 different results. Last night when I switched my TV over to the MK808, it was off. Strange. This morning when I checked? It was on! So its not that ROM setting as far as I can tell.

I'm wondering if leaving the stick on the home screen vs. leaving it in say SPMC makes a difference. ( sometimes I exit to the home screen, sometimes I just leave XBMC up ) Trying to test that theory now.

Sorry for the confusing input - and the fact that I'm only testing once or twice a day ... but its hard to wait 10 or 15 minutes only .... and more likely that it will be all day or overnight before I check again.

regarding the sleep issue. I have left the developer setting "stay awake" selected (why not!). The thing that seems to make the most difference is leaving an applicatio up in the foreground. I've gone 2 days now w/out it going to sleep on me - I have left XBMC ( SPMC really ) "up" and just turned off the TV. Dunno, but fingers crossed, because otherwise everything is perfect. Interestingly, when i turn everything back on and switch inputs the MK808, I will find it back at the home screen....like something closed SPMC ( although its still in the list of recent/running programs ) Dunno ... but happy enough.

                        sorry for the delay

OK with the device going to sleep issue. Just plug in your keyboard controller or any hid device into the otg port with the otg cable. When you press any button or move cursor and it will wake up. Sorry for the delay. Gave my first one away and just got my replacement.

i hadn't used my mk808 in weeks, but it has stayed running ... so no issues. Netflix even seemed better than I remembered last night ... didn't notice the slight stutters for some reason. good ole' mk808 still rockin...

Hi Prahjister! Awesome ROM so far! Very smooth. However I cannot get any hd video to play in any version of xbmc. SD video works. If I play it through mxplayer, no problems. Any ideas? Thanks!
