Yep, tried that too. kodi, xbmc, spmc. Just cannot get any hd video to play. Sound works but no video.

I have an original 808B but don't care about WiFi or Bluetooth. I am using the stock stock 466 1080 kernel. I might try using a 720. Will let you know.

I flashed it a week ago and I don't think you have to go into expert mode any more. I think it works out of the box. You can try changing settings under video and hardware exceleration. Libstagefright and media codec. I would try turning media codec off first. Kernels shouldn't matter. Its all the same base kernel. Just patched.

I flashed it a week ago and I don't think you have to go into expert mode any more. I think it works out of the box. You can try changing settings under video and hardware exceleration. Libstagefright and media codec. I would try turning media codec off first. Kernels shouldn't matter. Its all the same base kernel. Just patched.

Well I managed to get it working only with BeyondXBMC. Cannot figure it out. I tried the latest SPMC beta (Kodi based). Still no 1080. Very weird. When I get some more time I will try flashing again.

XBMC plays black screen Hardware accel.

Has a fix been found for this? Xbmc hardware accelerated playback worked fine for me on Prah1.0 ROM. 1.1 won't show video on XBMC with hardware acceleration checked on in settings.

Hmm wierd...are you using SPMC? 1.0 has libstagefright i borrowed from mk808b original to get netflix working. SPMC used to work on 1.1 with no settings modifications just install from play store. I haven't tested latest so you may need to side load older from his website.

I have the mk808b original version. Ive read this rom will work, but without wifi or bluetooth. I have a Ralink rt2870 wifi adapter that I wish to repurpose. Will this adaper work with your rom? What other options do I have? I'm currently on finless bobs 2.1 because I am worn out trying to get the "perfect" installation.

I'm sorry I don't know. The ROM will work with no WiFi and Bluetooth. You might want to try my 1.2 made for the mk808b orig. Just be sure to have a good power supply on any ROM with mk808b. They r power hungry.

I use the power supply that I got from geekbuying, its 2amp.... Ive also been using my Oneplus One charger. Its also 2 amp.
Do you have a link to download 2.1? Found your thread. Clicked link and it says I need permission to access google drive to download.

No Display on TV after flashing Android ROM, Please help!

First off, I want to Thank you prahjister for all your hard work on this ROM.

A couple of months back I got a MK808B Dual Rockchip RK3066 Cortex-A9 TV Stick (MK808B V5 as it comes with a Realtek Chip RTL8723BS)

Appearantly its factory ROM got corrupted because one day it just did not boot anymore (it got stuck at the Android logo), so I tried flashing it with ROM MK808B V5 Realtek Prah 1.1, to my knowledge flashing the ROM went ok, no errors on the ROM Flash tool 137 (I have the screenshot if needed)

The issue is that now it shows no display when connected to the TV (only a black screen), and I have read that some people has had similar issues with Android 4.2.x and that it could be related to a video output setting that some TVs do not support.. My TV is not that new, it's a LCD TV, Standard HDTV 720p only (not 1080p)..


I haven't been able to try the stick on a newer TV (I will probably visit a friend to do so), but is there something I can try or some setting I can change, maybe lowering the video signal resolution/quality setting?

Be sure to flash the 720 kernel. The device may have failed.
