    Pipo P1 RileyROM 1.7

This ROM is based on official Pipo firmware dated 10/27/14 #537. I've been testing this ROM, everything seems to be working fine. There isn't a change log...so I don't know what's different.

    This ROM is:

    Rooted
    Debloated
    English as default language
    init.d support added
    Busybox commands added
Multi-User support added without the need for Xposed Framework
    Google Play Store fixes added
    Reboot app by Petrus
Your choice of 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12gb user app space (select the parameter file you want to flash) The default is 6gb
Optional TWRP Recovery included in the RileyROM folder, thanks to Abdul_pt (flash TWRP after the first boot with stock recovery).

Thanks to Geekbuying.com for providing me this and many other Pipo tablets to develop.

The RK3288 firmware prevents me from auto installing TWRP Recovery, so you will need to do it manually. I recommend that you first flash stock recovery with the whole ROM. After first boot, you can then install TWRP Recovery by itself, by running the flash tool, and un-checking everything except recovery.img. Browse to the TWRP file in the RileyROM folder of the ROM kit by clicking on the box to the right of the recovery line in the flash tool. DO NOT ERASE IDB a second time...just "switch" to flash mode and flash the TWRP recovery image.

    Download wifi version
Download 3G version (v1.7.1 to solve boot loop)

    Enjoy!!!!

Please.....Don't forget to donate....this helps me continue further ROM development.

    First impression!

    Did'nt brick my tablet
Wifi signal seems to be slightly better.
Installed my "standard" apps without issues.

        Didn't boot after 1.7 upgrade

        Pipo P1 3G Rriley 1.5 + TWRP

I've already upgrade ROM from stock firmware to RR1.4, RR1.5. And today I followed the same instructions, but after reboot Pipo stacked in Logo and nothing happened during 10 minutes.

Then I used RKBatchTool to upgrade to newest stock and after I successfully upgraded it ti RR 1.5

I downloaded RR 1.7 from this thread twice and nothing changed.

        Do you have any idea?

        ps. donated

I'm not sure what the problem is with your tablet...mine booted right away after flashing.

Make sure you have a good USB connection.

Maybe you have something "unlucky" going on with your tablet.

My advice is to always stick with the ROM that works best for you.

            Hi
great, many thanks, will be flashing this over the weekend. Hoping the idle battery drain issue will be fixed. I had a quick look online to see if I could find any other refs to a change log for the stock rom release this is based on, but nothing so far.

            cheers

I'm not the only one, in local forum there is another user with the same problem. Flashing from newes stock to RR1.5 works fine.

Titanium backup...obviously you need backup all your app and data on the external sd card...

                    So I need to do:

                    1. complete backup with Titanium
                    2. install 1.7 RileyROM
                    3. Install Titanium backup and restore all.

When I restore I'll have all as it was before update?
Do I loose anything from old state, setup or accounts info or something?
                    Thanx.

You need to be rooted to use Titanium. If you are running stock firmware...you can either use an unrooted backup app...or just start over with a fresh setup.

Then you can use Titanium from then on.

No, just let the stock recovery format everything. Install TWRP recovery after the first complete boot.
