Excellent ROM, the best ROM I've tested so far!

To bad Wifi and Lan are not working on the T-R42 (B351 v2.0) (Bluetooth not tested). Nevertheless I got Wifi (very slow) and LAN working with the oc kernel from Wasser Firmware 1.03 (Android 4.4.2).
With wired connection I get very good results, but I prefer to use Walters performance kernel, especially because of the REC.709 16-235 color support. With the kernel from Wasser, everything looks darker and the colours are not so brilliant.

Is there a way to get the Wifi/BT/Lan drivers from the oc wasser kernel:
    kernel-new_cpu1704h_gpu798h_ddr667

    or from the stock Kernel:

    (source: http://www.ahappydeal.info/showthrea...r-T-R42-TV-Box)

into the performance kernel from Walter?
Or vice versa, some tweaks from Walters kernel into Wasser/stock kernel?

I have no glue how this works, sorry if this might sound stupid.

Hello, the download links seems to not be working for me, are there any mirrors or alternatives?

Edit: nvm I got it! Thanks for the work and time you put into this rom!

          Hi walter,

is there any chance you can point me to the .config's you used for the kernels?
I'm looking around to build a kernel for CX-919 with this ROM.

          Thanks!

            Hi,

Rom is great all around. For the life of me, I can't get Youtube to stream properly, though -- the video/audio just stops at random points with no attempts to rebuffer. WiFi connection is strong (confirmed w/ speedtests and WiFi analyzer) and all other streaming from different apps works beautifully.

Any suggestions? I read that people had luck with rolling back to AwesomePlayer instead of Nu, but I can't find that developer option. Would be happy with a third-party app that works well I can't find a great alternative. Any help is appreciated.

Cx919 (original) flashed all the OPs pieces then overflashed recommended kernel in OP.

Seems to work great. Only thing that seemed odd was flashing would fail every time on verifying system and had symptom some others have described where it would go partway on system load and then go really fast. What worked for me was selecting the 4 gig par rather than 8 gig though my unit says it is 8 gig. Maybe this is normal, I'm pretty new to this stuff. If there is a way to get a larger than 4 gig data part with my unit I would appreciate knowing how to do it.

If anyone cares; I was able to update to newest Kodi, isen... and all works well.

Not sure if anyone plans to continue dev on either roms or kernels or if everyone has moved on to newer tech but I certainly appreciaye the work put into this!

It's working very nice so far on my old CX-919 (with the kernel from d33). One question I got though, that I couldn't find a solution for.

How do I access the developer options? Goggle results unanimously tell me to tap 7 times on the "Build Number" under the "About" tab. Problem is, there's no Build Number field listed there, only Android / Kernel / Vendor software version. Is it the same for you guys or is my installation wonky? I'd rather not flash it again just to test it, as I already have everything set up as I want it to and that took a while.

                Thanks for any advice

I'm not sure why developer options aren't accessible, but I was able to get them using this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d..._options&hl=en.

                    Is anyone still around?

Anyways, loving this rom and it's been going strong for a few years on my CX-919. In the last month or so, though, I've observed that the time zone on my device is incorrect after it boots up -- it always show 7 am, regardless of the time of day; I'm in EST, but the timezone is non-EST.

I've been an app (ClockSync?) to resynchronize with NTP servers, but that's a workaround at best. I'm fearful that something might be failing onboard.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Any insight is appreciated.

                      Dear friend walter77,

This is the best rom + kernel combo, but it's a long time since you left supporting this device.

Would you mind to share your kernel sources, so we could mod and fix our specific problems by ourselves?

Again, many thanks for your work!

                      Kind regards

First off THANK YOU !!! Just installed it on my CX-919 v2.0 without any problems. Only a couple problems im noticing right away. I couldnt initially get the Developer options, but was able to get it from mh1983 suggestion (THANKS!!). Once I enabled Developer options, I was able to use the Screen Rotate app to rotate the screen to Portrait. Im going to use device for Digital Signage at a food stall.
                        Thanks again !!!!

Yes, the OP links no longer work. Does anyone have this ROM archived?

I guess I have a copy on my home PC. I will upload later today.
