I don't have a M8HD to test, but i took the time to make a port of CyanogenMod to it just need some feedback.

This is a single image image file, all of your data will be lost.

        $user.up.post.ignore_in_future = true; fi;

A couple of questions: is this a wifi only ROM? Will it be possible to flash the kernel with cifs added that's posted on the previous page? I'm very happy with the present ROM aside from the problem with battery drain. I might get some time to give it a go next week.

This is for WiFi only, you can flash whatever kernel you want.
I took the freaktab rom and use kernel, recovery and loader to make the single image file.
I have upload also the single images, anyone interested ?
I just thought this way was more user friendly.

Sorry for the dumbo question, but how do I go about doing this? Can I use TWRP for a single image file (put the file on the tablet and flash), or should I follow the process using Riley's flash tool?

Unzip the file, and use RK AndroidTool single rom image file to flash.
After you can/should flash TWRP and a different kernel.

Well, I've flashed it but the wifi doesn't work - won't turn on ... bit of a problem really! :-)

Can you provide log's ? dmesg and logcat

                    Anything else ?
Hopefully someone with this HW will jump in.

Sorry, I'm not very clued-up with all this so I've no idea how to provide any of those things! A bit og googling shows that I could use an app, but no wifi means no playstore, or there seem to be other routes requiring more skills, or more time than I presently have to invest in acquiring them.

Oh dear. I tried to reboot it but it got stuck with the torch on and the image of an android on its back, with the front open and a red triangle with an ! hovering over it. I had to reset it. I've got a twrp recovey on an sd card, but not sure how to proceed as the device is not recognised by my computer any more so I can't access any tools to reflash. Is there a way I can get windows to see it? And if not then what can I do? There aren't many options under settings - no developer options at all. Anyone able to offer any advice?

Press power for 10 secs to be sure it's completely turn off.
Boot it up, assuming that system boots, open settings, about tablet, press 5 times on build number to enable developer settings. On developer settings goto advance reboot and enable it. Long press power button and reboot to boot loader.
Or enable adb and reboot to boot loader from command line.
Or use button combination to boot to boot loader.

That's a pretty strange description of what happen.

Well, I've managed to get it seen by my PC, but it is connecting as a media device which means that the flash tool says 'no found rk android rock usb'. Anyway, I found the developer options ... it's all a learning curve I suppose

Sorry, I missed your previous post. Everything works so far as I can tell - bluetooth is fine, and the battery usage is miles better than it was with the other ROM. The only problem at the moment - that I can find -is that wifi doesn't work, and I can't get either of the flashing tools to see the tablet. Just tried to boot to boot loader following the first option but it didn't happen. Tried to boot to recovery and arrived at the sick android with the red triangle hovering over it and the torch on again
