Polaroid 10" Tablet at Big Lots

I put a custom boot animation on mine & I'm gonna install xposed framework on stock kk 4.4

Okay I musta screwed something up. Now when I shut it off and turn it back on it resets everything and acts like it was the first time I turned it on, asks for language, wifi password, Google account, etc. Here's what I did:

1. Copied zip file to SD card
2. Went to settings and then to stock recovery
3. Flashed the zip file from SD
4. Cleared the cache
5. Rebooted
6. Updated SU

I restored some apps that I use and had to recharge. When I turned it back on it asked for the language, password, etc. What'd I do wrong? Oh Frak!

Well I put the zip file on the internal storage. I don't think that makes any difference but that's how I did it. Also my version was the q10 and not the p10 I don't know if that makes any difference or not. But I think they're all still considered the same anyway. Maybe u could post your issue to the person in XDA tread who figured this out?

Thanks rubberman. I'll give it a try. It's weird every time I turn it off and then back on it's like it does a factory reset. Yeah mines a P10. Maybe it does make a difference. I'll check out echoa on XDA.

Well looked around a little and finally found something on Yahoo. Apparently others are having the same problem I am when they try to do an update on the P10. I saw the update before but didn't do anything with it. They've contacted Southern Telecom on it and they told them they were working on it. I talked to a CSR and he told me to take it back to Big Lots where I got it. If they don't have another then contact Polaroid and see what they will do. We'll see what happens. I'll keep you updated.

Well looked around a little and finally found something on Yahoo. Apparently others are having the same problem I am when they try to do an update on the P10. I saw the update before but didn't do anything with it. They've contacted Southern Telecom on it and they told them they were working on it. I've got mine on xposed framework. Picked up a 16 GB class 6 SD card for 8 & 10 wired keyboard Case at menards.

Polaroid P10/Q10/PTAB1040/PTAB1041 Rom Needed

Yeah, I'm one of the unfortunate people that bought the P10 from Big Lots and performed an update from Southern Telecom. I have two of these tablets and now every time they power on they perform a complete factory reset. I would LOVE it if someone would post a factory or custom ROM so I could use these tablets.

Southern Telecom told me to take them back to the store, but no store in my state have any of these tablets left. They offered to replace them, but I have to send them back, wait for them to verify they are defective, and accept a substitute replacement.

I would rather just flash a factory or custom rom and be done. Anyone have one to post?

I'm afraid even with the ROM I wouldn't be too much help, as I don't have the device, and *every* time I have attempted to make a ROM without the tablet, it usually goes horribly wrong.

U could just return it & purchase the q10 at menards which is the exact same device but has 8 gig storage vs 4 gig storage. I posed a link few posts up.

I appreciate the suggestion, but they are $150 EACH at Menards and I only paid $100 for BOTH. I guess I will just have to wait the 8-12 weeks to get replacements. I was just hopeful someone that had one could post a ROM and save me the wait.

I got 2 of them from Menards for $99 each for my 7 & 8 year olds. Not bad with the free included bluetooth speaker. Has anyone found a case for their narrow 16 x 10 screen? They aren't all high end but my kids have already killed a pair of Nabi's and Sero 7 HD's. I told them only daddy or mommy can plug them onto a charger, and no touching them while they charge. That might help them last a while.

I might buy one for myself if they go back down to $99 again. My only gripe is they charge slooooow. 4 hours to charge. And I've got original chargers, Nabi chargers, and other stuff. All 2A 2.5mm plug. I'm hoping they take so long just because the battery is so big???

Hi guys, I found this site after looking for a way to root my Polaroid Q10 which I also got from Menard's. I was having problems moving files to the micro SD card I inserted. I was able to root it but then I noticed that it is showing that it only has 4GB total internal SD memory. The reason I bought this model was for the 8GB it was advertised with. All of the apps that I have downloaded and installed are using up the space in this memory. Could it be that the other 4GB is reserved for the operating system. I first saw it when I ran the cpu-z app and then confirmed it by going to the settings menu and storage option. Is anyone seeing 8GB?
