Unpatched Wifi system

OK Combry (love the new avatar by the way)...

Here is a new system.img with the Wifi Patches I added to 1.4 removed! It is still debloated of junk apps and rooted just like my 1.4 ROM except again, I removed the wifi patches.

Download this ZIP.
Open my 1.4 ROM flash kit and go into the FinlessROM folder.
In there rename the existing system.img to system.old
Now unzip the above download.
Copy the system.img in there to the FinlessROM folder of the 1.4 kit.
Basically you will be replacing system.img with this new one. I hope that makes sense.

Now please do this. ERASE NAND and then reflash the entire ROM again. We want to make sure for testing, it is a NEW flashed device and nothing is left of the old stuff which could effect testing.

Let me know if this fixes the wifi issues you have.

I liked the image but no clue what it meant. Very cool though! So I looked it up. Anyone else uneducated like me about Surinam have a look:

No luck sofar Bob. It hangs on the "in4dealz.com"screen.grrrr!!. I wil try to flash it again.

Also the second erase and flash did not help. Stuck at the same screen pfffff!. I think i give it a rest for now and flash back the ICS version and go test the xbox wireless controller with the fix deadhp1 made on Armtvtech.com. Many thanks for your help and patience Bob. I'll be BACK!!

I was able to rebuild the kernel completely now, but.... I don't have the MK808 yet, so I cannot test

I have said this already. I wish them luck with generic kernel sources! You have no idea the customization that it takes to make a working kernel that performs with the hardware. Without full kernel sources from MK808, you will be spending COUNTLESS hours recreating the wheel and trying to figure out how to make a full kernel! Then let alone getting the performance needed to work with the device!

TRUST ME.... MANY of us have been down this road with generic kernel sources! IN THE END most have given up! Well at least with RK devices. The reason is again, KNOWING THE HARDWARE and how to tune the kernel as such. TO DATE as far as I know, NO ONE has made a RK kernel that works worth a shit from generic kernel sources! Hell we now have the Arnova sources and we STILL cannot make a kernel that works worth a crap!

The request for geekbuying.com to get FULL MK808 kernel sources is the best way. Again I wish them luck and maybe they will succeed, but I have yet to see this approach actually work and make a kernel that performs better than the manufacturers!

Hopefully I get proved wrong here honestly as "Us Dev's" seem to be the last revenue for making better ROMs for users since most China manufacturers don't care to make the development investment after the product is out! Alas... I hold my statement based on experience so far.

Seems like im crazy huh? its like when you're telling someone you've seen a ghost somwhere and they don't believe you. Its allright you did your best. i'm sure i did everything you said in your readme's and other tutorials. Otherwise how could i flash between different roms? I have no problems with the ICS and jellybeans besides the regular issues everybody has. Maybe in the future you bring out a rom that will work for my MK808.Till then i wait. I like your rom man it looks great and this is just the beginning. Thank you and i will stay tuned .
