There exists more than one "Advanced task killer", which one do you mean?

    This is a network issue.

I have no stutters at all. When your signal is weak it means transfer rate is slow and will stutter as the video is buffering every split second which causes stutter. I have AC wireless and I don't stutter and with ethernet it's perfect.

People need to know the difference between a stutter due to hardware faults and stutters due to internet conections. The vast majority who report stutters seem to have slow internet or bad wifi reception or both.

For local videos that produce stutters, make sure you're not running tasks in the background and those videos are usually stutter free on other sources of media. In fact, trying rebooting your box and as soon as you can load up mx player and a local video. Does it still stutter? USB HDD reads and writes from external and never touches the Emmc for cache. So this might even be your USBHDD...but again, make sure it's stutter free elsewhere.

Advanced task killer is a nice little app to have. It even comes with a widget so it's a one click setup.

Yes, I replaced the Launcher3.apk, but I could not remove the other file. Yes, I rebooted the player.

How can I remove the file?

    No sound over HDMI

Similar to 2.0.4 and 2.0.5 I get no sound over HDMI with 2.0.6. I tried both Default and Bitstream and got no sound. Did get sound over SPDIF but that is no use to me as sound as I connect the HDMI cable to my receiver it wants to HDMI and cuts off the SPDIF. Also tried the Launcher3 trick from a few posts back but that doesn't help. Going back to 2.0.3 for now which works OK for me.

Regardless of my problems, massive thanks to Wasser for creating these ROMs.

Here is the link : http://www.mediafire.com/download/95...pa44/HPH1.5.7z

You must unzip with 7-zip, otherwise it doesn't works. But even with this you will have stutters in HD vidéos!!

I don't know if it is the RK3288 or the bad support by RockChip to fix it at the SDK... As you wrote YET at amlogic it plays videos smooth stutter free with all the fixes at the newer SDK (took also a few month to get this state)...
But maybe you are right and it's the RK3288 and that's why MINIX doesn't release a RK3288 device... who knows?
Last but not least it also seems to depend on the environment/setup... but of course this shouldn't be an argument

I found that if I Replaced the launcher3.apk with the old one it fixed most of My issues.

You upload the old Launcher3.apk to the /system/app directory and change it's attributes
    to chmod 0644 ... and then delete Launcher3.odex ...

Then Reboot the player and for me my sound returned ...

I have attached a link to the old Launcher3.apk

Good Luck and Lets us all know if it worked for you too ?...

    Enjoy

    Absolutely no Audio

Hello, I am new to this firmware. I just installed the latest version 2.0.6 on my Beelink R89. The video works great but there is no Audio at all. I tried to change the settings in the android settings menu but no audio at all - from the android and from KODI.

I also connected the unit directly to the tv and on the receiver (DTS). All the same. No audio.

    Any hints?

This is more an issue with the RK3288 than it is with the box itself, all of these boxes have issues, anyone claiming otherwise either have a different perceoption of what is an acceptable rate of stutters or flat out lying to justify their purchase or are part of the dev team for their products.

The minix X8 has far slower components than the beelink, tronsmart and HPH devices yet plays video stutter-free. It's a combination of quality and properly maintained software. This is an issue with the RK3288 and will probably never be truly fixed.

So either get a wintel or a Minix or even a raspberry PI if you want smooth video.

I doubt you can do much with root. Both will come with Android lollipop which has a locked bootloader. I'm really not sure how much demand there'll be for unlocking these boxes, It's not gonna be easy. If the Razer and shield come with stock android, I can see no need for a root...though I'm sure the shield will have some of Nvidia's bloat.

We'll know soon enough. The best part of the Nvidia and Razer is that these consoles are about the same price as these chinese boxes and of better quality. I like my R28 meta, but some consistent support would have been nice. Razer and Nvidia will not disappoint.
