Nah, I figured out what I'm missing...it has something to do with the \META-INF folder....not sure I can do it cause I think this has something to do with a script or something that updates through cwm...

Would it help your efforts if I created and upload a CWM backup?

Sure, it can't hurt at this point....

P.S. can you try this too?:

        open ADB

        type the following

        # adb shell
        # dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p? of=/sdcard/boot.img

It should provide you with a boot.img on your sd card that I might be able to use too...

Ok I'm going back to the drawing board on this compatibility zip.

Once I really started playing with it there's no SDcard mount (going to check vold.fstab or whatever it's named) and the screen is off (may be a bad dpi setting).

It's off to a good start but I wouldn't build a livesuit rom just yet from it.

              YA,
I think I'm gonna stick to kodding the stock kernel/ROM and enhancing that...for now

Sounds like a good plan. Although I look forward to making livesuit images for these other roms down the road.

Ok so I've been playing this morning and this zip is looking much better.

Can others confirm or deny with me? Thanks!

I installed AOKP on my tab using the zip. I can at least use the touch screen (something I couldn't do) but it seems the resolution is off. Kinda reminds me of the stock GB ROM for our polaroids....

I thought that at first but then I started looking up AOKP screens and I think they modded it to use the swype from top like the old GB style and menu buttons on left or right. I just tried this zip with Cyanbook and resolution is fine and looks really nice.

Cool. I'll have to try that one next :-)

Yeh from what i've seen so far I would highly recomend Cyanbook ICS.

This is the best I've ever seen temple run work. I just set the performance settings to 60mhz min 1104 max on cpu with smartass v2 governor and applied all memory tweaks except compression.

                          Portable hotspot is working too!

Looking good to me but let me know if you find something not working.

I've run 'Android system info' on AOKP and it reports the resolution as 758 x 480 (oddly enough, not 800 x 480). I'll run on the stock and compare

ok I ran the AOKP you linked earlier, with the newest compat zip, and had to change the density from 160 to 120, after I did that the auto rotation worked, I also changed the screen resolution in the build prop to 800x480 from 1024
