type the following
# adb shell
# dd if=/dev/block/mmcblk0p? of=/sdcard/boot.img
It should provide you with a boot.img on your sd card that I might be able to use too...

Ok I'm going back to the drawing board on this compatibility zip.
Once I really started playing with it there's no SDcard mount (going to check vold.fstab or whatever it's named) and the screen is off (may be a bad dpi setting).
It's off to a good start but I wouldn't build a livesuit rom just yet from it.

I think I'm gonna stick to kodding the stock kernel/ROM and enhancing that...for now
