Succeeded to flash CWM Recovery, thanks.
Now it starts but not really works. I cannot do backup. Error messages about failures in cache mount, sdcard mount. Tryed to mount manually - still error messages.

movie app

hello Hardware Guru,

There's a wonderful movie app that is called HDcinema ( they just started over a month now)...check on http://homecinema.mobi it works on my samsung pro tab and my phone but for some reason it doesn't work on minix x7 and x8H ( I have two minix boxes ).
Please have a look on this..fantastic app that has 720 and 1080p video quality. It would be very nice if it streams on a HDTV.Thanks you & Happy New Year!

Hdmi Edid will be detected on first boot and recognises tv capabilities if your tv only supports 720p it will boot at 720p resolution.

I flashed it, it boots, the display works. It's 1080 downscaled to 720 however, not native 720. Any way to get it to boot in native 720?

The kernel is 1080p native. You can allways enable the overlay in build prop to have a 720p window if you want. If you do also change the lcd density from 240 to 160

Oh yes, indeed, works like a charm

For those who do not know exactly how to do this:

1. root your X7 by downloading "X7 CE v2.1.0 - root update" from the first post of this thread, rename it to update.zip, copy it to a USB stick or SD card, insert into the device and confirm when it asks to install the update
2. open ES file explorer, in the left menu bar turn root explorer to ON
3. browse to /system
4. open build.prop
5. click the pencil to edit
6. now change the following properties:
   video.use.overlay=1
   ro.sf.lcd_density=160
7. save
8. reboot
9. enjoy

Wow! really? good for you..mine don't work it says "cannot connect to server"..Did you root your minix box? I have Community Edition 2.0.0 now..i will try 2.1.0 hope it works..I'll get back to you after i install C.E 2.1.0..thanks!

the app is from your country mcln27..ask the developer to add subtitles. did you use the Comm. Edition 2.1.0? It still doesn't work on my minix x7 & x8h.
