But not sure about Firefly board, maybe boot.img is also needed, but stock one won't boot.
Maybe upload your boot.img from Firefly then I can look if there are any drivers etc. in there needed to boot properly. Will then make a new boot.img for Firefly board if it's needed.
Thanks so i have to flash your new boot.img and original firefly kernel and resources, isn t it?
hi mo
here firefly stock boot- let me know,,thanks

Remote control is not working, may be it need different driver.
Are you talking about Android Firefly on SD-Card?
Want to get Luuntu working from SD-Card.
Firefly Dual-Boot Lubuntu is working on HPH internal EMMC, but need a way to get it working from SD-Card.
It is also Lubuntu 14.04, how to upgrade to 14.10? Tried to upgrade to 14.10 on internal EMMC Lubuntu from Firefly but then afterwards didn't boot anymore.
Just booted Tizen Linux OS from SD-Card but can't seem to run anything apart from terminal app.

People should start porting Ubuntu Touch OS to RK3288.
Then there will be build-in support for GPU/VPU and no more problems.
If someone can get all the instructions together or had build Ubuntu Touch for other devices previously then it can help if they send more information to the manufacturers and Rockchip to speed it up.

Sorry for an off-topic, but does anyone know if there's some app which can spin down my hard disk connected to usb port?
I don't want it to spin all the time, but on the other hand, I don't want to switch it manualy few times per day either.
It's working ok in windows, but not ok when connected to my box (it spins all the time, equals = niose, heat, wearing).
Is that something to do with drivers, or usb controller itself (either that on-board, or the one inside hdd enclosure)?
This is my last challenge on this box. It would have been nice to have that too.
Thanks.

BTW: I don't know if it is at the kernel (but I think it is at the kernel) but at my rk3288 using the 111k4 my 'WD Elements 2.5 USB3.0' spin-down after a while of idle at one of the USB2.0 ports (maybe this info helps one of the dev's to have a deeper look at it)...RK3288 Devices

I haven't thought about connecting my hard disk to another usb port, but I'll give that a try too. Thanks.
I also tried putting .nomedia file in root and other media folders, and unmounting the storage, but it's still spinning.
Would some usb hub switch sort this thing out? Or does it only split the usb data channel, and nothing else?
edit: spin-down!I've put my hdd into another external enclosure, and it stopped spinning after about 10 minutes. So, sata 2 usb controller also must have something to do with it. Me happy. Now I can finally put everything behind my tv, and forget about it alltogether

just installed this ROM on my HPH 4GB/32GB, I don't know if this is normal or not, but the USB port nearest to the HDMI out does not work at all, only the OTG USB and the second USB port... can't remember if it was the same with stock ROM...or have I got a defective USB port?
btw, is it possible in future firmware when using a keyboard or Air mouse with keyboard that the soft keyboard won't popup as it only takes screen space, when I ran the Wasser ROM on my Tronsmart R28 Meta it was like that.
EDIT: just tried with Wasser ROM and same there, no USB, also OTG USB don't work on his ROM but that's no big deal.. I might try stock ROM and see if the USB is dead there too.Last edited by Gilgamesh; 29 December 2014, 14:17.

But I use it for a USB fan to keep my device cool, then it works, but for eg. external USB hard-drive it won't work.
Easy to hide keyboard, just edit build.prop file.
Change hardware keyboard to 1/0.
Will post correct setting.

But I can confirm that specific usb port is a picky one. Guess no hph box is the same...

EDIT: LOL, I just connected my 4-1USB HUB to that USB port and it powers it up, and connected the air mouse receiver to the hub and it works... very strange!but when using receiver alone on that port won't work.
EDIT2: just tried with a external harddrive and it WORKS too.. haha, well I run the mouse receiver in the other USB port then, but this is very strange..
