NEW - 2dark4u ug802 ROM - fixes sync issues?

You can edit vold.fstab in /etc with a root explorer like ESFileExplorer and change routes: change external_sd to sdcard and sdcard to external_sd. Also mount the sdcard as flash, cause I had problems mounting it as sdcard.

Here go the original lines in vold.fstab:
dev_mount flash /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/virtual/mtd/mtd9/mtdblock9
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/external_sd auto /devices/platform/rk29_sdmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc0

Change with this:
dev_mount flash /mnt/external_sd auto /devices/virtual/mtd/mtd9/mtdblock9
dev_mount flash /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/rk29_sdmmc.0/mmc_host/mmc0

Then you got the internal flash mounted as /mnt/external_sd and the sdcard as /mnt/sdcard to use it as main memory.

I have the 1.4a bob
I tried to update the update.img.
but it reports an error.

Folks, the mouse back button thing is NOT a simple keyboard mapping or .kl files in /usr/keylayout. I tried to replace those from stock ROM and see if the right mouse button is fixed as back. It is not.

So it is some library file. I am thinking it is uinput.so however when I replace that lib file from stock ROM to 2dark's ROM the system will not boot. This is going to be because other lib files work with uinput.so and they must also be replaced to match how it was all compiled. So it's going to take some work with some trial and error. I cannot find much online about how the mouse is controlled and what files are effected.

Anyway, looks like 2dark did very much the same thing I did. Used another RK3066 ROM and mixed files with ug802 ROM. Much like my 1.5C Beta test ROM. Thus it has similar problems as mine. So in order to move forward with attempts like this we need to figure out how to fix some of those issues like the mouse back button.

Error after update

After update, it'd worked faster. But after reboot, UG802 said Unfortunately, Launcher has stopped . Press OK and the message displayed again, so i can't do anything.

All the actions i did after updating are :
1. Run UG802 fix app in the app list, change to 200 dpi.
2. Install Adway and run it
3. Reboot and this ugly message display

Here it is a tweaked host file to be added into the rom to block ads .

you can copy it using a file explorer or you can push it using adb

adb example:
1 - Connect the device to the pc and install the adb drivers if needed
2 - copy hosts into a directory were you have adb excutable.
3 - Run the following commands

adb remount
adb push hosts /etc/

adb shell chmod 644 /etc/hosts
adb remount ro

note: i will be updating some tweaks that can be added. Like, change the pointer icon. and (have note checke if happend yet) enable to applications be able to write info into the sd card.

Yes i had successfully able to fix the problem with A/V sync and in my firmware many changes, but it's still based on Bob Finless 1.4a, so I didn't forget about it and left finless boot logo and remind text about Finless in boot animation.
1. At first boot You can see some stripes on display just change resolution in settings or move scale slider and problem will go away.
2. Included APP UG_Fixer firstly maked for tweaking UG802 but now all tweaks included in firmware and only change resolution and DPI is a usable functions.
3. replaced all drivers and modules outside kernel (kernel original)
4. Changed settings for big amount of hardware drivers.
5. Replaced all SW/HW codecs.
6. Many small fixes and tweaks.

Just use the "easy way" like me, put the update.img in internal memory of the "stick", it will autmatically detect the update, choose "yes" and let him do the job.
after reboot it will present you an option to delete the file from storage, delete-it or rename-it as you wish.
PS use the "easy update" file for this.

for me audio is still a very strange issue! on some files its perfect in sync, on other files i have the 2 sync video before audio and on other files audio is about 5 sec ahead of video. crazy stuff... anyways, big thx for spending your time on this piece of well... ;-)

btw. i felt 1.5c almost a bit smoother, if it only would be more feature-complete like 1.4a! :-)

i ve tweaked the Framework.apk now has a standard white pointer.


copy it into /system/framework
it should be 777
and owner root root

ponter sample img:


Instructions:

1 - rename framework.apk to framework.apk.TUNED
2 - copy it into the SD.
3 - copy with the root explorer to /system/framework
4 - Check the owner is Root Root
5 - Change the attirbutes to 777 or RWX
6 - Rename framework.apk.TUNED framework.apk
7 - reboot the device.

Hey Guys... watching this Thread for a while.
I´m a VonDroid User and we have some Problems with this Rom.

So my test Results for this Rom, in a short way.
Coming from the Finless ROM v1.4 directly to 2dark4u ROM with the SD Update

CONS:

• Could even not copy any Files from USB Device to the externalSD ! - same as before
• Google Play Music and Player Pro do not recognize Music at the externalSD - same as before
• Device is not as responsive as with v1.4 - worse then before

PRO:

• Market Problems: Fixed, can now install any free Game without Problems. - seems to be FIXED
• Google Play Music and Player Pro now recognizes Music on the internal SD - seems to be FIXED

I don´t know why I can´t copy any Files (e.g. Music) from my USB Stick to my 8GB micro SD. There are no Permissions !!!! ???
Using the Explorer coming with and also not with ES File Explorer (Superuser-Rights given !)
That should be fixed, cause the internalSD is too small with oonly 2.1GB to have lots of Music on it. So better need Music on the Ext.SD !
I also think that the Performance is not as good as with the Finless v1.4 Rom, if I open Apps, I got to wait 1-2 Seconds till it opens...
No waiting before !
Now it plays Music and finds it on the internal SD, thats Fixed.
