In the log from 24th everything was ok.the stick worked well,but only for one day.

Next day I try to start the stick but it was dead...

Loader was ok.Path correct.
With RKbatch Tool is the same problem.

I do not see any errors in your log?

In the flash tool do you have the loader checked? Also check the patch to the loader in the finlessROM folder and make sure that is correct.

Finally.... have you tried using the RKbatch Tool and flashing the stock firmware?

I know i´m bricked.
But i have the same problem as dirtytuga,Yanek18 and arielmonaco.

I´m not able to erase nand.Always: "Error download boot"
My pc only recongnize the stick in mask rom mode.
I stick my Log in Post 41.
Do you have any idea what the problem is?

Ok,here is my MK808 story:


I get my MK808 on the 21.12 (In4dealz) . After installing the charger the blue light turns on but the HDMI was dead.I use different HDMI cables and two different TV´S.
At this point i try to install the Finless 1.5a Rom.Everything works perfect now.
After using the stick the hole day i shutdown the stick (charger off)

The next my stick was totally dead.
No blue light and my PC does not recognize the stick (only in Mask mode!)

Hello everyone, and Marry Christmas...


I have a similar situation than other guys.
I bought the MK808 on aliexpress.com, and I received the product on Dec 18th. It had worked very well for 2 days (streaming from my PC through Serviio DLNA Server and using MX Player as videoplayer, all was fine).
Due the product doesn't have a native application to Restart/Shutdown, I downloaded an application called "Shutdown" (https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...bicoo.shutdown) from PlayStore, and I made some test with application a couple of times. All appeared to be fine. However, I decided to disconnect the power supply due to a severe thunderstorm.


So, each night of these 2 days, I had needed to disconnect the Power Supply that I received into the box (5v 1.0A). But the next day, the MiniPC didn't startup. Also, the Blue led light continued turned off. The heatsink took a little hot but nothing happened. I verified trough my Router that the MK808 doesn't answered any ping test.


I used these thread to try to revive the MK808, using metal pin between pin 8 and 9, but without good luck. I recevied the message "Found RKAndroid MaskRom Rock Usb" but I haven't been able to erase NAND.


Can anyone try to help me?

Hello everyone.
I have similar problem with my mk808.
I put it on MASK ROM mode and when i try to ERESE NAND i take an error : ERRORownload USBBoot failed
I try every usb port on PC, 3 cables , even my OLD motorolla phone cable.
System windows 7 on amd opteron CPU
Thx for help.

ps. I found old iRiver cable, still no positive effect.

same situation is for me.

I got new mk808 yesterday, and I have it worked few hours, after shutdown I was not able to start it again. I try to flash with custom ROM but can not succeed in recognizing drivers in Windows.
Only solution that works for finding drivers is this NAND reset. Every time I was getting the same error "Download boot failed". Only once, after waiting some hours I succeed to start erase process but unfortuantely it not finished completely.

I left it that way over night. This morning I try to plug unit and I see on screen broken android robot image with exclamation mark. After power off again I can not start device. Does anyone have situation something like this?

I think that there is something with waiting few hours before trying again.
And is it possible to get out from Rom mask mode once unit get in? Or is it always in that mode until successful NAND erase?

If can help, in attachment is log from Rom flash tool with all my tryouts.

99.9% of the people have no problems flashing.
I want to help you... But the only way to do so is if you give FAR more information that your giving!

Give me screen shots of everything you are doing please..

Big Problem

Hi there!

I`ve tried everything ( differnet USB Cable,different PC´s ,with or without charger) but nothing helps.

RKAndroidtool found my mk 808 in mask modus but everytime i try to erase nand it ends up with "Download boot failed".

I don`t know what to do.....
